The kick would catch him and it would seem like he was going to
fall, but he catches himself on one foot, rapidly hops his
weight to the other foot while turning, and lunges again.

Darius would maneuver away from this throw as well, then quickly
attempt to strike the boy's elbow just enough to make it sore.

Darius smiles "I don't know about that." He says sheepishly,
rubbing the back of his neck "I might be okay at the fighting
part, but being a monk is about more than that I'm sure. I just
hope we don't have to go bald." He teases with a grin

As Darius finishes his sentence, three older men step into the
room. Each of them is wearing monk robes, but as if to ease
Darius's mind, the one in the middle has long, silvery-white
hair. They appear to be in immaculate physical condition despite
their ages, and the power of their auras is immediately
apparent.
"Welcome, to the Hotai Monastery my children. If you would,
please form a line side by side and face us," the aforementioned
monk requests.
"Bonus points if you line up in height order," the monk to his
left jokes.

Darius would smile a bit at this, falling into line after
grabbing his bag. He would do his best to line up by height,
peering at the students alongside him. He would take a better
look at the kids he hadn't spoken to, trying to make a mental
note of who he thought would get in.

The orphan boys would line up by height as well, but none of the
others would make any effort to. Physically, most of the
candidates seem well built enough. The loner girl has a frail
build, but seems to have a potent aura. None of the well off
children seem particularly special.
"I am High-Brother Lazarus, the eldest living monk of the Hotai
order, and the current leader of this monastery," the long
haired monk explains. "Beside me are Honored-Brother Eisen and
Honored-Brother Nico. They sit beside me on the council of
elders, and they will be performing your aura screenings today.
Any of you who feel you have been misjudged or misguided, please
speak with me. Now, Liza, Darius, Fern, and Yeza, follow
Honored-Brother Eisen. The rest of you, follow Honored-Brother
Nico."
The elvish girl, Fern, and the frail girl step over toward
Eisen. The other four head toward Nico.

his assigned brother, curiously
