The chains entangle her as the man's head drops. For a moment
she feels any magic and some of her life force fading, but as
the head hits the floor the chains dissipate.

She falls to her knees with a grunt, but stands and dusts
herself off, picking up the book the man had been reading.

searching the cabin.

She'd find evidence that nobody has actually been alive in the
cabin for some time now. All food is either rotten or fake, and
the house is missing any sort of valuables.
