Ground Zero Pre Show
By: ControversyPersonified Date: April 28, 2013, 11:25 am
---------------------------------------------------------
The HCW opening credits hit and we go to a half full and slowly
filling Ground Zero arena.
Todd Grisham: Welcome to the HCW.com exclusive preshow. My name
is Todd Grisham and I am joined by a team of experts to preview
this event.
The camera appears in a skybox high up in the arena.
TG: Let me introduce that team of experts for you tonight, first
off we are privileged to be joined by our new Co-CEO, he is The
American Dream, Ladies and Gentleman…Dusty Rhodes!
Dusty raises his arm in acknowledgement and shuffles his notes.
TG: Also along for this preshow ride we have a Two Time Crimson
Deathmatch champion here in HCW, he is the man due to step in
the Hell in a Cell structure this evening, Scott Steiner!
Steiner stands and flexes his muscles.
TG: And finally we have a man who’s wrestling knowledge begs
belief, Ladies and Gentleman Good Ol’ JR is live on HCW.com.
JR nods and waves for the camera.
TG: It’s great to have you all along guys, before we start I’ve
got to ask you: What are you looking forward to the most
tonight, we’ll start with you JR.
JR: Well, a lot of exciting matches tonight, but I’m going to
say The Last Man Standing match between Bret Hart and The
HeartBreak Kid Shawn Michaels, that will be as physical as they
come.
TG: Well that’s sure to be a great match, Dusty what about you?
Well, I'm obviously going to have vested interest in the
Universal Title match, there's nothing I'd love more than to
have my son win The Universal Title!
TG: Well I'm sure that'll be a great match, Scott what are you
going to say?
SS: Well those two afore mentioned matches are sure to be
awesome spectacles, but I’m
looking forward to getting inside that Cell and kicking Dolph
Ziggler’s ass tonight.
TG: Well clearly, Mr. Ziggler has got annoyed freak to deal with
in that Hell in a Cell structure tonight. Anyway, on to
tonight’s pre show where we will be previewing every single
match on the card, getting some interviews with the superstars
and we will also have a Synergy Tag Title Match right here on
the HCW.com pre show, but right now we’re going to take a look
what happened the last time we had a big event, this was The
Awards Supershow!
We see highlights of the opening sequence, and then see Velvet
Sky hitting the In Yo Face to Ryder and pinning him for the 3
count, while the tag belts are held high. Douglas and Gordy are
shown going back and forth in their No DQ, No Countout match
before Douglas hits the Belly to Belly for the win. We then see
the CDM Title swinging high above the ring, and a lot of ladder
spots occurring before RVD goes through the announce table and
Perfect climbs the ladder for the shock victory. We then see
John Cena pinning Nikita Koloff in their match, before the
ominous Hell in a Cell structure lowers. The big moves of this
hellish match is shown before Orton manages to hit an RKO on to
the steps to retain his International Title. We then see
Christian executing the Killswitch to give the Unamericans the
victory over the nWo. We then see Shawn Michaels’ Sweet Chin
Music on Ryback to win the No Holds Barred match. Finally
highlights of the Extreme Lion’s Den match are shown as Kurt
Angle comes out on top to beat the retiring Brock Lesnar.
We then return to the skybox.
TG: Well, that was certainly a top event, just like we’re
expecting tonight to be as well, an one match that has already
been singled out for praise is The Last Man Standing match
between the man representing the nWo, Bret “The Hitman” Hart and
The man representing the Prophecy, Shawn Michaels. Let’s look at
how these two are headed for such a brutal match.
We first see Austin Aries and Chris Daniels cornering Hart after
his match with Steiner. Rock and Show even the odds, and Hart
figures that the almost attack was HBK’s idea. We then see the
retribution as Bret and Sabu team up to destroy HBK.
[quote author=MrAwesome link=topic=6.msg3369#msg3369
date=1364514356]
Hart: I intend to bring back the real Shawn Michaels into our
ring. I intend to bring back the guy who cares about his family,
his friends, and his fans more than life itself. We all know you
are a better man than this Shawn. I know there is a guy there
that I can forgive for that incident that happened all those
years ago. The guy I am looking at now is a guy who I can't
forgive!
If I have to beat the living hell out of you to get you back on
track, I will be more than happy to do it!
[quote author=pat2007 link=topic=6.msg3373#msg3373

?: Bret, hey Bret!
Bret gets his head up and sees that HBK's on the TitanTron, he
looks like he's sitting alone in a dark kind of place. The crowd
heavily boos him. Bret is focused on the TitanTron.
HBK: Surprised to see me? Actually, you shouldn't... You've made
what I believe is the longest promo you've ever done since
coming to HCW, so let me break it into tiny pieces...
Priding yourself on being true to them? Geez, you have forgotten
the great relationship you had with the American fans back in
1997, when your ego made you Public Enemy #1 everywhere, except
of course that country they call "Kanada".
Making a statement? You're right, you did make one... You just
stated that you're the biggest hypocrite of them all. Bret.
Hitting me from behind... And then, I'm supposed to be the bad
guy?
Second coming of Jesus Christ? Damn! Calling me that days away
from Easter... A false idol? I don't think anyone here, except
for those believing in the Prophecy, consider me their idol,
although they should.
My ego has become bigger than my heart? I'm not doing the things
I did because of ego, I'm doing all of this to satisfy the needs
of our God. You couldn't understand that, even if you were the
smartest man on the planet, which is very far of where you'll
always be.
You aren't afraid of me, Bret? Sure, the 1997 version of Bret
Hart wouldn't be afraid... But now, we're quite different... And
I'm not sure you're as confident as your words show, Hitman!
You intend on bringing the REAL HBK? This is where you get it
all wrong, once again. That "Real" HBK you're talking about has
been gone for quite some time... and it isn't coming back any
day soon, Bret, whether you like it or not. The man you see
right now, is the true version of myself. As a weapon of the God
of the Storms, everything you see me do is done with a purpose
far greater that any purpose that you ever had...
"I know there is a guy there that I can forgive for that
incident that happened all those years ago." (In a sarcastic
imitation of Bret's voice) You're right, but that guy is gone,
Bret. Right now, the man you're seeing is telling you that you
should actually be thankful that Vince McMahon screwed you that
fateful night of November 1997... Because if the HBK you've been
watching for the last 20 years would have been switched with the
one you see right now... I would have not gotten you screwed...
I would have ended your career, Bret.
Now, the crowd is heavily booing Shawn, who doesn't pay
attention to that at all. Bret begins to show signs of anger.
Shawn acknowledges that and fakes that he's scared, before
laughing.
HBK: And I would have done it without any remorse... And you
know what, your actions on Collision opened my eyes, Bret.
Before I take care of Ted and his sins, I must finish what I
should have done 16 years ago, Bret. You want to beat the living
hell out of me? Well, I'll be giving you the opportunity to do
so...
Ground Zero... LAST! MAN! STANDING!
Bret, if you do accept this opportunity, you must be aware of
the consequences... I don't plan on just winning this match... I
plan on ending over 20 years of our story! After this match,
I'll be thru with you and you'll be, as simple as that,
GONE!
So, Bret... Are you as confident, now?
HBK laughs maniacally while Bret's looking down, thinking about
his answer.
As Michaels talks we see highlights of their infamous match from
Survivor Series 1997.
[quote author=MrAwesome link=topic=6.msg3382#msg3382
date=1364583602]
(Hart lifts his head after thinking for a bit)
Hart: You dare judge my confidence? I am more than confident! I
am ready to take you down once and for all!
You want to finish this?! You want to try and get rid of me!?
Fine! I will rid this world of your dark and twisted fantasies!
You are not the messenger of God nor am I. But I am here to
bring proper justice for a man who is a hypocrite to the very
word he proclaims. It's time to shut your mouth for good!
At Ground Zero, our rivalry finally ends! At Ground Zero, I will
see to it that this Shawn Michaels is never seen again! At
Ground Zero, I will be the LAST MAN STANDING!
JR: No Pinfalls, No Submissions, No Disqualifications and No
Count-outs. The only way to win is by making sure your opponent
can’t answer a 10 count!
We see the ending of that match at Survivor Series, then we see
a then and now staredown in the ring.
TG: Well, what a match that’s certainly going to be, and as well
as that video package we’ve got more to add as our broadcast
colleague Matt Striker is standing by with Bret “The Hitman”
Hart.
MS: Thanks Todd, and as you say what a match we are in for.
Bret, what have you got in store for Shawn Michaels?
BH: I've listened to Shawn's statement. He claims he is going to
eradicate. He claims that I am going to be "saved". I've said
this before and I'll say it again. Shawn, I am not the one who
needs saving....you are. You see I know there is a better man in
there than the Prophet of God that you pose yourself as. That's
the thing Shawn, you are nothing but a poser right now. You are
a liar to yourself, the fans, and even the Lord himself. (Bret
takes a breath) I'm not here to be some savior though Shawn. I'm
here as a friend. I'm here to bring back the Shawn that we all
know and love. I know that if I can destroy you at Ground Zero
then we will see the real Shawn return.
You can try to finish what happened in Montreal all those years
ago but it won't happen, not this time, and not ever again.
Basically, here is what I have in store for Shawn, Matt. I hope
you're listening HBK. I do have in store the biggest fight Shawn
will ever be in and also the biggest defeat Shawn will have
suffered. At Ground Zero, the delusions end for Shawn Michaels
and we will see the real Shawn Michaels make a return after I am
done vanquishing from the evil that lies within him. No more
prophecies, no more sermons, no more talking from the prophet of
the higher power. It's time to end this, Shawn. We go back to
the box.
TG: Intense words there by The Hitman there, he’s not just out
to get a simple victory tonight that’s for sure, and now we go
to our panellists. Dusty, what’s Shawn Michaels got to do to win
tonight?
I think Shawn just needs to use his speed to take on the
stronger Bret. Shawn has been on quite a roll aside from his
losses to Ryback and this man right here (Indicates Steiner) and
Shawn has been in the head of damn near every Collision
wrestler. If he can stay in Bret's head, he already has the
mental advantage.
TG: Thanks Dusty, Scott, what do you think Bret Hart has got to
win tonight?
SS: I honestly think that one on one, Bret Hart would beat Shawn
Michaels, but whether Shawn’s buddies in The Prophecy allow it
to be a one on one match is another question. If Bret has two
members of the New World Order on standby to even the odds, he
has already neutered a big part of HBK’s game plan, if that
indeed is what he intends to do, apart from that he has to
obviously watch that Superkick, as anybody in the business knows
how dangerous that is.
TG: Ok, well we go to JR, Jim who does the Last Man standing
stipulation favour?
JR: I honestly think it favours Shawn Michaels. I think there is
a few small reasons for this, but you look at the two finishing
manoeuvres of the two: The Sweet Chin Music and The
Sharpshooter. Bret’s Sharpshooter is an effective Submission
hold but a Submission hold doesn’t win the match, the Sweet Chin
Music can, so Bret’s going to have to think of something new to
win this thing.
TG: Ok so very quickly, a short prediction: Dusty, who’s going
to win this thing?
I think I'm gonna go with Shawn Michaels. But this one, will be
a bloody brawl, and neither man will feel like a winner. The
only real winners, will be the fans.
TG: The second part of that is certainly true, what say you
Scott?
SS: I’m betting Hart for this one Todd.
TG: And finally you Jim?
JR: I'm with Dusty, I'm saying Michaels.
TG: Thanks Guys.

Re: Ground Zero Pre Show
By: ControversyPersonified Date: April 28, 2013, 11:32 am
---------------------------------------------------------
TG: We’ll get straight on to our next match then. The next match
we have to preview is a match contested between two members of
the same stable, and it is for the Global Title. The Dominant
Champ, the World’s Largest Athlete The Big Show takes on The
Rock! There has been the highest amount of awkwardness possible
in the nWo camp, let’s have a look at how these two came
together.
We see Big Show’s string of victories over all challenges since
he has held the belt, then we see The Rock in the back.
[quote author=Thurl link=topic=6.msg3347#msg3347
date=1364419247]
Rock: A 6 man over the top rope battle royal. It seems that
Foley hasn't forgotten the Rock and Sock connection, cause an
over the top rope battle Royal is a match made just for the
Rock! The Rock will be merciless, the Rock will be fierce, and
the Rock will throw everyone, and the Rock means everyone.. over
the top rope, and walk out the number one contender for the
Global championship. A belt, the Rock would still have if Shawn
Micheal hadn't stuck his nose in mine and Show's business a few
months ago. Show, I know you're busy at the moment but I hope
you get this message. I love having you as a tag partner in nWo,
you are a great guy, but you have something of mine, and I am
taking it back. I am coming for you Show, prepare yourself, you
are looking at the next.. the People's.. Global Champion! IF YOU
SMELLLLLL... WHAT THE ROCK... IS COOKIN'!!!!!!!
We see Rock eliminate Christian, as we go down to 5 men. Ryback
throws Christian over, then we go down to 3 men as Ted Dibiase
Jr gets eliminated by Rock. Rock then quickly throws out Cena
after The Peoples elbow, and then throws Ryback over soon after.
The Rock ascends the turnbuckles and poses in his usual manner.
We then cut to the nWo locker room.
[quote author=Thurl link=topic=6.msg3367#msg3367
date=1364512478]
Bret Hart walks into the nWo locker room to find Rock and Show
staring at each other.
Hart: Is.. everything ok?
Rock: It's fine.
Show: No problems. That was one hell of a battle Royal, Rock.
Rock: I did what I said I would do, just like at Ground Zero,
that belt comes home with me.
Show: I welcome the challenge. Even Brock Lesnar couldn't pry
this title out of my hands, I wish you the best of luck.
Hart: Uh.. Guys?
Rock: We're cool.
Hart: You sure?
Show: We're sure.
We see Rock hitting a Peoples Elbow to Big Show in the past,
then Show hitting Rock with a Chokeslam.
[quote author=Thurl link=topic=6.msg3384#msg3384
date=1364603237]
Rock: Now, I am going to Ground Zero to win the Global title.
The Rocky chants start back up.
Show: Well good luck Rock, you'll need it.
The Rock is shown once again in the past hitting a Spinebuster
on Big Show, then Show hits The Showstopper on Rock. Show then
stands face to face with Rock in the ring, holding The Global
Title.
TG: Well, The Global title on the line in that one, and as I
said a very awkward situation. We’ll start with you JR, what’s
Rock got to do to beat The Big Show tonight?
JR: Well, Rock is not exactly what you’d call a quick guy, but
he’s quicker than the Big Show. Rock has got to try and keep the
match at his pace, if it slows to Big Show’s, The Rock’s in
trouble.
TG: Yeah you’re certainly right there, Dusty what has The Big
Show got to do to beat The Rock?
Todd, we all know that currently Show is the
biggest athlete in professional wrestling and I think it's
obvious he needs to use the obvious strength he has to stop The
Rock from getting the people behind him. Also, I think Show
needs to stop Rock whenever he begins building momentum and the
giant will have no trouble retaining his title.
TG: And Scott, do you think the New World Order will survive
this?
SS: They’ve survived a lot as a group, the nWo, it was always
their responsibility to rid the HCW world of the groups trying
to take over. The Revolution was a prime example of that. But
now, even though there is still the Unamericans and The
Prophecy, I think neither has got as much of a chance as taking
over as The Revolution did. With that being said, I reckon
anyone involved with the nWo, whether it be fans or members or
whatever will hope The Big Show wins. If Rock wins that will
spark further matches and more tension, but on the other hand if
you had to pick two guys with the biggest self-egos in the nWo
or even in HCW, it would be Rock and The Big Show
TG: Well, never more true words said than that Scott. Finally,
just a little prediction on this…Scott?
SS: Show’s on too much of a roll to lose, I’m saying Show.
TG: Co-CEO Dusty Rhodes?
I have to say the Big Show. Since he won the Global Title, he
has been unstoppable.
TG: And finally JR?
JR: Rock to win, but Show to retain. I think something dodgy
might go down tonight.
TG: Interesting. Very interesting stuff there. Well right now we
have a very interesting interview with non-other than our own
Universal Champion, Kurt Angle.
#Post#: 3647--------------------------------------------------
Re: Ground Zero Pre Show
By: ControversyPersonified Date: April 28, 2013, 11:40 am
---------------------------------------------------------
MS: Now present is The Universal Champion...Kurt Angle.
Kurt arrives, wearing a hood over his head and his Universal
Title around his waist.
MS: How do you feel, hours away from your Universal Title match?
Angle: I feel great, Matt! And in case you've been all
wondering, there's a lot of excitement coming through my veins
right now. Defending this belt comes with a lot of pressure, you
know?
But that's nothing to the pressure Cody Rhodes's feeling right
now. Matt, you've never been in that situation, but Cody is
having a second chance to gain the most coveted title in HCW...
That means he failed the first time... The pressure to fail is
something huge to overcome... I've done that in all my title
defenses so far. I'm pretty sure Dusty believes his son can do
it, I'm pretty sure the fans believes their favorite can do
it... Hell, I'm pretty sure Cody himself believes that he can do
it.
But Cody... What if it doesn't happen? What if you fail again?
What will you do, Cody, when doubts will creep inside your head
and you'll been left to wonder how can you defeat me? This is
what, in the end, will be the difference between you and I...
between a failure and a winner...
Angle leaves looking more focused than he already was.
MS: Back to you up there.
TG: Thanks Todd, well we’ll be previewing that Universal Title
match later tonight, but now let’s go to a hellish encounter
involving one of our panelists. Scott Steiner and Dolph Ziggler
will face off…in a Hell in a Cell match! Our story begins at the
Big Event before last, Nowhere to Run!
We see Kurt Angle celebrating his Universal Title victory in the
ring. The lights go out and Dolph Ziggler appears high up in the
stands with a spotlight over him.
[quote author=pat2007 link=topic=40.msg2922#msg2922
date=1358302996]
Ziggler: Congratulations, Kurt! He then claps his hands a couple
of times. But you have something of mine....and I want it back.
Angle gets a microphone.
Hey Ziggy! Why don't you come right here so I can break your
ankle too?!
Ziggler laughs.
Ziggler: It'll be on my terms, Angle... I'll be at the next
Collision, maybe... Maybe you'll have this to remember me...
Angle turns around to an SSD from Scott Steiner! The crowd is
divided as the lights go out again and the show ends with the
lights back on and no Steiner nor Ziggler in sight, while Foley
wonders what the hell went on.

Zigglers music plays and he and Steiner pose as Hart checks on
Rock and officials help them to the back. Then Ziggler gets a
mic.
Ziggler: See? This is why I should be the next Universal
Champion. I just gave the Great one a Zig Zag! Kurt, I know you
were watching, and I bet you are just shaking in your boots with
the thought of having to face me. You know what Scott, I think I
am going to show up at the awards show and do what I do best and
steal the show. While I am there, I will also steal the
Universal title from Kurt Angle when I get my hand raised after
a Zig Zag to Kurt Angle!
Steiner: Wouldn't that be something. One of HCW's only two free
agents holding the top title? Hell, I almost want to challenge
for it myself. Maybe I will be content in challenging Big Show
for the Global title though. Yeah, HCWs only Free Agents holding
the two top titles in the company. HOLLA IF YA HEAR ME!!
Instead of a pop the arena erupts with Foley's theme. He comes
out to a huge pop, and makes his way to the ring and gets a mic.
IC: Once again gentleman, welcome back. It's become apparent to
me that a few things need to be cleared up here, and its perfect
timing cause I just got off the phone with Roddy Piper. He told
me what the board has decided, and let me tell you there are a
few things.
Foley pauses and the crowd chants his name.
Ziggler: Well? Tell us the good news!
IC: Um.. Good news? No. You still misunderstand me. There isn't
any good news. At least, not for you. As a matter of fact you
could call it good news for our Universal champion, whom I am
sure is NOT quaking in his boots at all. First things first,
about the Universal title, Dolph, you are.. not.. getting a shot
at the title.
Ziggler reacts with outrage and Steiner looks just as confused.
Foley merely gives the toothless grin.
IC: You see, the Board has decided that neither of you will be
getting title shots anytime soon. My apologies. Besides Dolph.
The awards show marks Collision's turn to challenge for the
Universal title and as the newest Fusion star, you would be
disqualified from challenging Kurt Angle. I don't know what
Hogan will have in store for you, you will have to ask him
later.
Ziggler throws a fit, kicking the rope and asking why.
IC: I don't ask why when it comes to the Board. There decision
is always final, whether I like it or not, or, whether it makes
sense or not.
Foley turns to Steiner.
IC; As for you Scott. You are my newest superstar on Collision.
Congratulations. Unfortunately, as I said before, you will not
be challenging Big Show for the Global title. I will let you
know later whats next for you. Both of you..
Foley turns so he can see both of them.
IC: ....Have a Nice Day!
Steiner takes out his telephone and calls Dolph Ziggler. He then
puts it on speaker.
DZ: Hey Scotty.
SS: Dolph, you ready for your little visit?
DZ: Sure am. I'm going to find this drug planter over there,
accompany you to your victory
over Christian and then perhaps we can hit the bar afterwards?
SS: Amen to that Dolph. Who've you got in mind as the planter.
DZ: You got a cameraman in your locker room?
SS: Er, yeah.
Steiner picks up the cameraman in a military press position,
does a few presses, kicks the door open and puts him on his
feet.
SS: Don't interrupt me again or next time your landing won't be
as nice.
Steiner returns to his locker room and continues his phonecall.

After the Steiner v Christian match Ziggler jumps on the apron
and he and Christian have a stare down. Ziggler jumps back down
when Cesaro joins Christian in the ring. Christian celebrates
his first win in a while, then he and Cesaro leave the ring.
Ziggler jumps back in as Steiner is just coming around. Steiner
manages to get to his feet, and he is shocked that he lost, and
asks for a mic.
Ziggler goes to collect it, but instead of talking, cracks
Steiner clean on the forehead with it. He waits for him to get
up and hits a Zig Zag.
DZ: I've been everywhere Scott! I've been slapped by the
Beautiful People, nearly 3 on 1'd by the Prophecy, even John
Cena a guy that doesn't like me felt a little sympathy for
me...and then I thought...who was the guy that was going to
benefit from my rise to prominence? Who was going to be my tag
team partner and live off my success had we both been on
Collision? I believe it was you Steiner. And come to think of
it...you were fired the same week as me by Hulk Hogan! I think
Hogan's been hiding information! But he will be dealt with, just
like you!
Ziggler storms off, and just as he exits the stage Steiner
stands up and storms towards the back, fury written on his
face..
****************************************************************
Foley is in his office when there is a knock at the door. Foley
sighs, and motions for Henry to open the door.
Henry opens the door to reveal an out of breath and slightly
bloody Steiner.
IC: What's up Sc-
SS: DID YOU SEE THAT?
IC: I did actually, this is my show, I will be speaking to Hogan
in a moment, and please don't interrupt me when I am talking. I
am not overly fond of it.
SS: Yeah funny...look the way I see it is that Ziggler's got a
spot for a match at Ground Zero...an open challenge...make it
happen Mick...Big Poppa Pump vs The Show Off...COME ON! I don't
care how you do it just please!
IC: That would be an interpromotional match Scott. That means I
have to take it to the board. I will give them a call too and
see what I can do.
SS: Great! (Looks in camera) This one goes out to all my freaks
out there: Big Poppa Pump is your hookup, and Ground Zero is
what you need to look up. Holla, if ya hear that!
**********************************************************
JR: We understand that something is going on backstage with
Dolph Ziggler and we are taking you back there now to see what
exactly is happening.
We cut to the back where several superstars have exited their
locker room to see Dolph Ziggler being dragged by security and
trying to resist. We also see Foley who has his arms crossed and
looking sternly at Ziggler.
DZ: YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME!!
Ziggler breaks free and goes up to several random backstage
people and screaming in their faces asking if they are the drug
planter. The security finally drag him towards the door. The
camera pans round to Steiner who is watching and laughing from
behind. We then go to outside the front doors and Ziggler is
pushed through the front doors, with the door being shut behind
him.
IC: You were warned to behave yourself. Since you failed that,
you will never be allowed to step foot in a Collision Arena
again. If you are seen, you will be fired. Now get your self
back to Fusion where you belong.
Foley goes back inside and Mark Henry steps out and shuts the
doors and the show closes with a shot of a ****ed of Ziggler
staring at the closed doors that are behind Henry.

Piper steps into Hogan's office unannounced and with out
knocking. Hogan looks up and immediately sighs. Piper is the
last thing he needs today.
Piper: We need to talk.
Hogan: About what?
Piper: Ziggler.
Hogan: I have it under control.
Piper: Well I just came from Foley's office, and let me tell you
he is NOT happy with Ziggler's actions on his show.
Hogan: Look brother, I already talked to Mick and he knows that
I am not happy about Ziggler's representation of FUSiON. It's
been dealt with though. As you may know he isn't getting pay
till after Ground Zero, and his match with Vader is No
disqualifications, no count outs, anything goes.
Piper: I am aware. I am good with that, but the Board of
Directors wants to make sure this lesson sticks so they, as I
have advised Foley, have approved a match against Scott Steiner
at the Pay per view. I am doing them one better and making it
Hell in a Cell though.
Hogan: Alright, I will let him know.
Piper: Thanks. Keep up the good work otherwise Hulkster.
Piper struts out of Hogan's office as Hogan watches, as soon as
Piper is out of ear shot Hogan sighs again.
Hogan: As if Ziggler wasn't annoying enough...
We then see footage from previous HIAC matches.
SS: All I gotta say is thanks to the board of HCW. I'm gunna
make Dolph Ziggler pay in blood in that Cell!
**************************************************
DZ: Piper is going to pay for the day he crossed me. He doesn't
know who he is dealing with, and neither does Scott Steiner. So
Holla, if ya hear that!
Steiner and Ziggler are shown in the middle of the ring, shaking
hands, then we see Steiner laughing at Ziggler being thrown out
of the arena. We then return to the skybox.
TG: Well, I’m sure we’re in for an entertaining match there. My
first question is to you JR, keep in mind the company you have,
what’s Dolph Ziggler got to do to beat Scott Steiner?
JR: Well, first a very interesting fact: Dolph Ziggler and Scott
Steiner are first timers in this structure in any company, but
for Dolph Ziggler, his job is similar to The Rock’s tonight and
that is keep it at his pace. He’s also got to stay on the ground
as little as possible as if Mr. Steiner here locks on The
Recliner, Ziggler doesn’t have a chance. No rope breaks, and
with the strength advantage to Steiner, we may see a tap out
victory to him tonight if Ziggler doesn’t avoid it.
TG: Ok, thanks JR. Scott, what do you believe you have to do
tonight to beat Dolph Ziggler?
SS: Just kick his ass. Keep on him, don’t let him get behind me
in position for The Zig Zag and lock him in that Recliner.
That’s how I’m going to win. Actions will speak louder than
words my friends.
TG: Well, short and sweet by Big Poppa Pump, how about you
Dusty, who do you think the stipulation favours?
I think the structure will benefit the stronger of the two,
Scott Steiner. What most people seem to forget is that the cell
itself is a weapon, and getting thrown into that structure is no
cake walk.
TG: Well, some great words of wisdom by our experts here, now I
ask all three of you to give a short prediction. Scott, I think
I know where this is going: Who’s going to win your Hell in a
Cell match with Dolph Ziggler?
SS: Me. I’m gunna kick his ass so bad that people are going to
wonder how on earth we were friends.
TG: Ok, how about you Dusty?
Steiner is going to hurt Ziggler as he said, but I wouldn't be
surprised to see Mr. Ratings sneak away with the victory. The
kid isn't a former Universal Champion for nothing.
TG: And you Jim?
JR: Ziggler’s not in the right frame of mind, Scott Steiner for
the submission victory for me.
TG: Well, a split decision there. Found out who will that match
on Ground Zero which is exclusively live on Pay Per View.
?: Woah…woah…woah.
Todd is cut off by Dolph Ziggler who comes into view.
DZ: Are you serious JR? Not in the right frame of mind? And
Scott? Kick my ass? Whatever.
Ziggler goes up to Scott and spits in his face, then slaps him.
Steiner jumps the table and forces Ziggler to the floor and
security arrives and removes them from each other and physically
force Ziggler out the picture. They force Scott to go and sit
down.
TG: You ok Scott?
SS: I’ll be ok when I kick that little ****’s ass. That’s when
I’ll be ok.
TG: Well, let’s move on to our next preview which is another
Title match. The Crimson Deathmatch title is defended in a
H@rdcore match and it is contested by a former champion who has
a rematch and a man that you wouldn’t normally associate with a
title like this. Let’s take you back to the Awards Supershow
where these two faced off for the Title!

Curt comes out to the ring with the CDM championship around his
waist. The gash on his forehead is stapled shut and it totally
ruins his otherwise perfect face.
Perfect: When I woke up this morning, I drank a nice glass of
OJ, without pulp, of course. Then I took a long, hot, shower and
when I went to look in the mirror, all I could see was this
(Curt points to his forehead)! In that moment I didn't care
about wrestling! I didn't care about the Crimson Deathmatch
championship! I didn't care about HCW!
My face was ruined! Ruined! Now when I want to go into acting,
I'm going to be typecast as a villain! We all know I'm not the
villain. No sir. I'm the good guy! I don't even have any
toothpicks. Who doesn't like the underdog? Fighting drug
addiction only to get back at top! Rob, the druggie, versus Curt
Hennig, Mr. Perfect, the sober! That was the true story of the
Awards Supershow, not Brock Lesnar retiring. Shane's ****ty
return wasn't front page worthy. The Traitor getting his
comeuppance, while awesome, was not it either!
I was the real headliner! My story should have been featured!
But it wasn't. I'm going to change that though! I'll prove I'm
a good guy, the best guy! I'm the real star of HCW. Top underdog
of Fusion, even.
RVD appears on the screen, contesting a match with James Storm.
Perfect interferes and then Hogan comes out and tells Perfect
that their rematch will be a H@rdcore match, to RVD’s delight
and Perfects attempted hidden despair.

Perfect: Sorry Rob, but even us good guys have to be bad guys
every once in a while. I had to show you which one of us is top
dog, right? I hope you aren't mad, considering how h@rdcore you
are.
Highlights of their previous match are shown, and then we see
the two staring each other down in the ring.
TG: Well that’s certainly going to be a hellacious match I’m
sure. Now I turn to our experts here, Scott Steiner, what has
Mr. Perfect got to do to beat Rob Van Dam tonight?
SS: Well, I know certainly what it is like to be in these
matches the underdog. I know what Perfect is going through. What
Perfect has to do, Is use his environment. He needs to use the
barricades, the steps, the ring posts, the apron, the floor and
all the weapons made available to him. Then he’ll have a chance.
TG: Ok, Dusty Rhodes what do you think RVD has got to do to win?
RVD needs to keep to his strengths, that being his high flying
game. If he can do that and keep Perfect from pulling some
dastardly deeds, he should be just fine against Mr. Perfect.

TG: Ok thanks Dusty, now you Jim, who does the H@rdcore
stipulation favour?
JR: Well I gotta believe the advantage goes to Rob Van Dam. He
is very well educated and skilled in the H@rdcore department,
but you can’t rule out Perfect. He won the Ladder match at the
Awards Supershow fair and square, and while you may not expect
Perfect to hold that belt, all you need to do is look back to
2012 where this man Scott Steiner held the belt for a lot of the
year. He fought off all challengers and didn’t actually lose the
title on his second reign. So the unlikely champion has worked
before and can work again.
TG: Well thanks JR, for now, Dusty who do you think will win?
Well, I'm gonna go with Rob Van Dam regaining the Crimson
Deathmatch Championship.
TG: Ok thanks for that, Scott?
SS: Rob Van Dam for me.
TG: And finally, Jim?
JR: Rule out Perfect at your peril, but I’ve got to say RVD.
TG: Ok thanks for that guys, well next we’ll be previewing the
Steel Cage Tag Team match, but first we get a bit of in ring
action, the Synergy Tag Team Titles are on the line, it’s The
Beautiful People versus Rated RKO.

Re: Ground Zero Pre Show
By: ControversyPersonified Date: April 28, 2013, 11:56 am

The Beautiful People Theme hits and they come down to the ring
to a decent pop. They make their usual entrance and ascend a top
rope each and hold their titles up high.
Voices hits and out comes The International Champion, Randy
Orton. He slowly walks to the ring looking focused. He enters
the ring, glares at the Beautiful People and ascends the top
rope and does his usual pose with The International Title. He
then stands in the ring and waits for his partner. Metalingus
then is played as Mr. Money in the Bank, Edge comes out. Edge
raises his briefcase on the ramp and his fireworks go off. He
then runs in the ring in his usual manner and goes over to the
corner with Orton.
Howard Finkel: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to your exclusive
HCW.com Ground Zero Pre Show, and this is your match and it is
for…The Synergy Tag Team Championship! Introducing first,
standing in the corner to my right, they are the current Synergy
Tag Team Champions…The Beautiful People!
A mild pop is heard for the champs.
HF: And standing in the corner to my left, with a combined
weight of 460 pounds…Rated RKO!
They get a much bigger pop than The Beautiful People. Orton
raises his title and Edge raises his briefcase at the mention of
their tag team name. The bell then rings, and away we go.
Velvet Sky and Edge start out, and Velvet gets the early
advantage, with a few early Clotheslines and pin attempts. Edge
stands up and looks surprised at the early flurry of offense,
and then takes control of the match. He hits a Legsweep on
Velvet and tags in Orton. Rated RKO hit a Double back body drop,
and Orton gets a two count. Edge leaves and lets Orton get on
with further domination. Orton hits a Suplex and poses for the
crowd, sensing an easy victory. When Velvet gets up Orton hits
the headlock backbreaker and starts stomping on all Velvet’s
limbs, before dragging her over to tag in Edge. They go for a
double DDT but Velvet gets out and slaps them both in the face.
Jimmy Koderas forces Edge to leave the ring, and Madison is
tagged in. Orton gets dropped with a double Clothesline, Orton
tags in Edge who hits Madison with the Half Nelson Flapjack.
Koderas gets a 1.5 count on the pin. Madison gets up and Edge
hits her with a spinning heel kick. That also get a two. Edge
gets Madison in a headlock and drags her over to the corner,
where Orton tags himself in. Orton hits his signature two
clotheslines followed by a big powerslam which only gets 2.
Orton then decides to risk it and ascends the top rope. He waits
for Madison to get up and goes for a Cross Body, but Madison
uses her quickness to dive out the way and tag in Velvet. Orton
gets hit with a Reverse Mat slam by Velvet, and Velvet works the
crowd.
[…]
The legal man is Edge, and the legal Woman is Madison. Edge has
Madison in the Edgecator but she just manages to get to the
ropes. Madison manages to hit a Hurracanrana on Edge and goes to
the top rope. She hits an Elbow Drop and crawls to the pin.
Koderas only gets two on the count. Edge and Orton begin to
dominate with a series of quick tags and double team moves. Edge
is on top and dominating Madison and then he hits an
Edge-O-Matic on a tired and beaten Madison Rayne.
Koderas counts:
One
Two
Th-Kick Out!
Edge gets himself hyped up and hits the Edgecution. He stands in
the corner and readies himself for the Spear. Madison gets up
and dodges it, nearly sending Edge head first into the corner.
Edge just manages to put on the brakes in time. Madison tags
Velvet in, but Edge immediately turns round and heads towards
Madison and hits a Spear, not seeing the tag. Velvet spins Edge
round though and hits an Inverted Bulldog. Velvet shoots the
half and goes for the pin:
One
Two
THREE!!!

Velvet celebrates and grabs both belts as Madison is on the
outside recovering. Orton complains to the referee, but he goes
outside to raise the arms of The Beautiful People.

TG: Well a great match there, but now let's go to our next match
on the card. A Steel Cage Tag Team match. Let's see how The
Unamericans have ended up with Ted DiBiase Junior and John Cena
on the other side of the ring to them.
We first see Christian's return on the February 6th episode of
Collision, where he and Antonio Cesaro attacked DiBiase. Then we
see Cena on the screen.
[quote author=pat2007 link=topic=6.msg3431#msg3431

Cena sees Angle's segment and then focuses on the camera.
Cena: Well, it seems that Kurt wants to get his hands on a
member of the Un-Americans... That's funny... Because I also
want to do the same!
You see, I've been letting a lot of stuff slide about you two...
It was none of my business... But how dare you disrespect a
woman who's been kidnapped! And how dare you trying to have FUN
with that situation!
Now, I can't let this slide anymore... Your attack on Jr... And
don't give me the bull**** excuse that he attacked you first...
We all know why he went crazy on your ass, Christian. Trying to
push the buttons of a broken man is despicable... And it is
against what I stand and believe in, and this is why I've came
to Jr's help. I know he can deal stuff by himself but in case my
maths are correct, 2 on 1 is not an equal matchup.
Let's see what Foley will do, but I want a shot at either of
those despicable anti-American guys.

Foley is doing some paperwork inside his office, when suddenly
the door opens and Cena enters the room.
IC: May I know why you're here, and without knocking at the
door?
Cena: Sorry, Mick, but I didn't know if you were busy or not, so
I've decided to come in.
I just wanted to ask you something concerning Ground Zero. I'm
pretty sure that you've seen what the Un-Americans have been
doing lately. And I'm pretty damn sure that you've seen what
they did to Jr. last Collision.
What I propose is that me and Jr. team up at Ground Zero to
face, and try to shut up, the Un-Americans. Nothing else. I'll
let you think about it. I have other things to deal with.
Cena leaves the room and closes the door.

As soon as John Cena steps out of Mick Foley's office he goes
left onto a long hallway. As he walks he gets literally
AMBUSHED! Antonio Cesaro runs up behind him and knocks him down
hard. John Cena tries fighting it and does so early on but it
was only a matter of time before Christian Cage joined Cesaro
and that's when it got ugly... for Cena.
Both Un-Americans used their trademark strategy: keep the victim
grounded, one holds; one hurts, and trade positions. They
slammed his head against a couple of hard material boxes, hit
some nasty brutal punches to his ribs, and busted him up by
slamming him face first to the wall. Once Cena was down and out
we see Cage drop down to his knees and get in Cena's bloody
face.
You like that? You like that Cena-boy? See what happens when
you play the hero? You see what happens when you mess with
people better than you? See what happens when you mess with the
Un-Americans?

Cage stands back up and he and Cesaro once again start to
kick the unconscious leader of the Cenation. With all the
commotion going on, Mark Henry runs to the scene and sees the
Un-Americans beating on Cena.
Hey what the hell ya'll doin'?
Upon hearing his voice the Un-Americans flee but Henry is
right behind. Henry, on his walkie-talkie, asks for "immediate
assistance" for both helping Cena and getting the Un-Americans.
We change camera angles and see a group of security guards run
into the arena's parking lot only to see a light red car
speeding off with Canadian license plates. We cut back to the
security guys and we hear one say:

John!?
Jr runs up and checks on the beaten down Cena
Is he okay? Who did this?!
Before anybody can even reply, Jr turns furious, already
knowing what ba$tards would do this
Cesaro! Cage! Where the hell did they go?!
the crew start murmuring about how they don't know and somebody
mentions them fleeing the arena

Foley rubs his temples, looking from the ladies to Jr and back.
Mark Henry comes in moments later out of breath.
IC: Mark, what is going on?
Henry: Cesaro and Christian beat the hell out of Cena. I chased
but they got away.
IC: What the hell were they doing here? Is Cena ok?
Henry: No idea at this time, He is with the HCW Dr. He said they
let you know.
IC: Ok. I will keep an eye on that. Jr, it's funny you ask,
cause John was just here and asked the same thing. We see how

As soon as Foley's done talking to Ziggler, the door quickly
opens and we see John Cena, bandaged on his face, with plenty of
medical people, trying to stop him moving. Cena doesn't care, as
he comes towards Foley, looking a little bit groggy.
IC: John, what the hell are you doing? You should
be at the hospital...
Cena: I'll go there... when you'll give me what I wanted

in a match where they won't be able to hide, they won't be able
to complain... I want those two at Ground Zero... Inside a Steel
Cage!!!
Like I said, I will not leave to the hospital until I get what I
want. And don't give me that worried look, Mick...

Zero. If you don't mind though, get yourself to medical
attention. Now. Jr, help him there. I have to go announce
Collision.
Foley leaves and Jr and Cena follow him out shortly after.
We see The Unamericans beating some top talent in HCW, then we

We want to address the Steel Cage match at Ground Zero which,
we're told, Foley is "intent on keeping on." We plead guilty on
getting Ricardo Rodriguez to try and convince Mick Foley to take
the match off but after giving it some thought... it really
should be you two, Cena and DiBiase, considering to try and take
the match off. I mean, do you really want to have the
match? You guys are extremely unfit to compete, especially
inside a Steel Cage. John Cena, you haven't even been cleared by
your doctors and Ted, you are one mentally wrecked person right
now with your precious little girlfriend missing. Be smart and
safe guys, unlikely for Americans but you can do it, take the
match off and save yourselves the embarrassment.
We're about to land, idiots, but Ted, Cena... consider what we
said.
The screen fades to black with the last shot we get being of
Cage refiling his glass with the fountain next to him and Cesaro
doing something on his amazing Galaxy cellular
telephone.
We then see Cena and Jr. hitting their finishers and cut to Jr.
in the ring
[quote author=chris_K link=topic=6.msg3604#msg3604
date=1366797296]
Jr's music goes off and the crowd gives him quite the pop. He
makes his way down the ramp and to the ring, slapping hands with
the fans. Once he gets in the ring, he poses for a moment and
then asks for a mic
Now, as some of you may know, the Un-Americans are on a mission
to cancel our steel cage match.
the crowd boos
Now I understand why Cage and Cesaro don't want to get in the
ring with us...because Cena and I are going to tear them apart!
the crowd pops
And while it'll be nice to get our hands on them, it won't be
enough. Because after the way they have disrespected me and
Cena....after the way they have disrespected my girlfriend Lacey
and her disappearance...and how they have disrespected the USA
and all of you true American fans, it will NEVER be enough. But
I can promise you, we will give them an ass whooping they will
never forget. An ass whooping so bad so they realize that they
can't run there damn mouths ever again...and I can't ****ing
wait!
the crowd pops as Ted throws down the mic and prepares to exit
the ring
Cena: While you two jacka$$es do what you do best, which is act
like cowards, I got something to get off my chest.
You made an eulogy 4 days ago that compared Americans to rats...
You said and I'll quote you, Christian:
"The rat did nothing to upset you, nothing against you and when
you don't know it's there, its existence doesn't perturbate you.
But as soon as you see it, you want it gone."
Seriously? Christian, you dare compare every single American to
a rat? Well, there's one huge issue for you two guys...
You've the picked the wrong rats to mess up with!
Every concern about my heatlh is unjustified. I'm maybe not 100%
percent and I'll probably not be at 100% come Ground Zero. But
I've been in worse shape before and it didn't stop me to do what
I do every single night. I'll be in good enough shape, don't you
worry!
Now, there's three words I live for, three words I stand for...
Hustle, Loyalty and Respect. While I don't know if the first two
words have any concordance to you two, the final word is
something that me and Ted are going to beat out of you come
Ground Zero.
You've been disrespecting these people for far too long.
There'll be Ground Zero for you guys, when you'll go down inside
the steel cage and you'll end up looking at the lights.
I'll see you two there, jacka$$es!
We see each man standing in the ring individually, before the
Steel Cage is spotlighted and lowers down.
TG: Wow, a lot of Bad Blood is going to be settled in that Cage.
Now, we turn to our experts here on The Ground Zero preshow.
Co-CEO Dusty Rhodes, what will Jr. and Cena have to do to win
tonight?
Jr and Cena have to stay focused on the task at hand. Christian
and Cesaro may be weasels, but they are tough and they have good
teamwork, I think it could be Cena and Jr's undoing if they are
not focused.
TG: Thanks for that, what say you Scott what do the Unamericans
have to do to win?
SS: Divide and Conquer. The numbers game won't get them anyway
tonight, the quicker they escape that cage the better though, as
I think when the odds are even the Unamericans don't stand a
chance.
TG: Ok thanks Scott, finally JR, who does the Steel Cage favor?
JR: Well, the Unamericans don't like the idea of it which makes
me think it plays right into the wheelhouse of Jr and Cena, but
who knows what might happen.
TG: Ok thanks guys, now for some predictions, Scott, who do you
see winning this thing?
SS: I see Jr and Cena being too hot for the Unamericans to
handle tonight.
TG: Dusty?
I say Cena and Jr close this chapter by beating those American
hating POS's, if I do say so myself.
TG: Ok and finally what do you say Jim?
JR: Same reasons as Scott, a Jr and Cena win for me.
TG: Ok, thanks guys.

TG: We now go back to Matt Striker who's got another great
interview for us. Matt, who you got?
MS: I am here with one of the participants for tonights Last Man
Standng match, Shawn Michaels.
Shawn appears on the screen, looking focused.
MS: Shawn, my only question to you is...what do you have in
store for Bret Hart this evening?
HBK: What do I have in store for him? Over 20 years of hatred...
Over 20 years of emotions who have boilled inside my head.
I can just assure you of something... It won't be like a Bret
Hart vs HBK match from the 1990s, that's for sure... If you want
to see a war though, just order the PPV... And you'll be quite
satisfied.
MS: Thanks Shawn, back up to you guys.
TG: Well, intense words from Shawn, and earlier intense words
from Bret. This one is going to be insane, but now we turn to
one of our 4 title matches tonight. Let's see how Randy Orton
and Samoa Joe first crossed paths.
Highlights are shown of their non title match all those weeks
ago, where Joe pinned The International Champion. Joe is then
seen knocking off Dolph Ziggler and looking for Hogan in the
back.
[quote author=pat2007 link=topic=6.msg3411#msg3411
date=1364796514]
After the commercial break, we see Joe entering Hogan's room.
Joe: I think you know why I came in.
Hogan: I guess so... You want a shot at the International Title,
dude?
Joe: Of course.
Hogan: Well, let me tell you something, dude... Your singles
record has been pretty good lately.
Joe: The only thing that I care about is the fact that I've
beaten your International champion in a non-title match last
week.
Hogan: I know... You know what... I think Randy would be pretty
happy to get another crack at you, fully rested this time.
Consider Randy Orton vs Samoa Joe for the International Title
booked for Ground Zero! Now, if you don't mind, brother, get the
hell outta here!
Joe: That's just what I've wanted. Thanks!
We see Orton hitting several RKOs to HCW superstars.
[quote author=chris_K link=topic=6.msg3418#msg3418
date=1364847700]
So I finally have a contender for my belt. The other machine,
Samao Joe. Well Joe, you may have beaten me weeks ago, but I had
just gotten off of a Hell in a Cell match with Kane. When we
face off again at Ground Zero and my title is on the line, you
will learn, just like Kane did, that this is my belt, this is my
show, and that we are all living in the Age of Orton. So good
luck, you will need it.
We see highlights of the tag team match Joe and Orton were
involved in, before seeing that amazing Cross Body Joe used to
pin Orton a while back one more time.
[quote author=Red Milk Chocolate link=topic=6.msg3583#msg3583
date=1366595675]
Joe: Randy, you and Shane were the better team tonight, but come
Ground Zero, you're going to tap or pass the **** out.
[quote author=chris_K link=topic=6.msg3582#msg3582
date=1366592709]
Joe, I hoped you liked that RKO, you've got another one coming
at Ground Zero.
We then see the two face to face in the ring.
TG: Well, who knows if The Age of Orton will end tonight. Let's
go to the panel, Scott, what does Joe have to do to win.
SS: Joe has to keep at his pace and watch out for The RKO. That
can come out of anyway and the match will be over if he Orton
can hit it again.
TG: JR, what do you think Joe has to do to prise that title off
Orton's shoulder?
SS: I think he's got to do the same what Scott said Joe has to
do, watch out for The Coquina Clutch. Again, it can come out of
anywhere, and again it can end the match just like that.
TG: Ok, and a question to you Dusty, some people have questioned
how important that International Title is to Orton, how do you
see it?
Fellas, I'm gonna mention a little stat for you.
Who has the most International Reigns in HCW history? I'll give
you the answer, its the Viper himself at 6. He has held that
belt more times then anybody else, hell, he has held that belt
more times then anybody has held any belt, so I think that belt
means the world to Orton, as he has made part of his legacy
holding it.
TG: Ok thanks for that Dusty, now a little look at predictions,
Dusty we'll start with you.
I think you've got to go with Orton, but this one can go either
way honestly.
TG: Jim?
JR: I am going to say Joe, Orton may be a bit deabilitated after
his match with The Beautiful People.
TG: Ok, and finally Scott?
SS: Orton to retain for me.
TG: Ok thanks guys, and now we go to a very special highlight
package as we take a look at what happened last year at Ground
Zero!

We first see Miz and Kennedy trash talking, before Miz hits
Kennedy with the Skull Crushing Finale to win the match. After
this, Zack Ryder is seen retaining his and Mr. Perfects Tag Team
Titles by putting Devon through a table. Lesnar and Rhodes are
then seen having a great back and forth match which ends in
victory to Brock Lesnar, who was crowned the new Co-CEO at this
event. We then see Chris Jericho escaping the cage and winning
Scott Steiner's CDM Title. The Rock and John Cena then have a
classic match, which ends in a Rock Bottom and the victory to
Rock. Edge is then seen overcoming the odds and retaining his
title against the monster that is Goldberg. The at the time
International Champion Randy Orton is then seen tapping to Kurt
Angle's Ankle Lock. We then see Undertaker beating The French
Phenom Rene Dupree in a Graveyard match, before the show ends
with The Pot of Gold match and the true awesome talent is shown
with King Booker, Alberto Del Rio, Umaga, Andre the Giant, Steve
Austin, Scott Steiner, Sting, Goldberg, Brock Lesnar all being
beaten by The Rock who holds the Universal Title up high.
TG: What an event that certainly was, but I'm sure if any Ground
Zero event can top it, it is this, go on to HCW.com for details
now on how to buy the Pay Per View.
We go back to the skybox and to Todd Grisham.
TG: Well, now we go to our final non title match of the evening.
This all began when Shane Douglas challenged Kane to a unique
concept: A Dream Tag Team match. Let's have a look at how all
this started.
We see highlights of the main event of Fusion weeks back between
Kane and Shane. Kane ends up with the victory and laughs at
Shane with the crowd booing Kane.
[quote author=pat2007 link=topic=6.msg3491#msg3491

We see Josh Matthews in the backstage area.
JM: Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time, Shane Douglas.
Shane is shown arriving right besides Josh, to a good reaction
from the crowd.
JM: Your thoughts on what happened earlier on...
Shane: It was good to blow some steam off... I'm sorry for the
fans who wanted to see that match, but heh, it seems that
Hulkster made it happen next week instead... But I'm not here to
talk about this match.
JM: So, what do you have in mind?
Shane: Kane... I know he's probably watching, or at least, his
samoan friend is... Since Randy and Samoa Joe will be busy at
the PPV and since I don't think our history between us will be
done after next week.... And actually, since we're not busy at
Ground Zero, I therefore challenge you... to a "Dream Partner"
Tag Team Match!
JM: Huh, what is a...
Shane: I'll explain that short and sweet... Next week, you and I
will have to choose our partners for the Ground Zero match. I
actually have a good idea of who I will pick as my "Dream
Partner". I hope that you have one in mind. A good one in mind.
I'll see you next week... But I hope to see you at Ground Zero,
if you're not scared...
The crowd roars as Shane leaves the interview. We go to a
commercial break.

Shane is talking to some stagehands who are enthralled with
tales of the past when they stop staring at him and start
looking through him, frightened. Shane takes notice and turns
around only to be looking at the Big Red Machine, Kane.
Kane: I was watching and I accept.
There are no brawls this time as Kane leaves as quickly has he'd
come. Shane looks at Kane leave and then goes back to telling
his stories to the frightened stagehands.

Kane's music plays as he comes out, alone, as the crowd boos
heavily.
JR: Why is Kane out here?
King: Who knows, just don't get near him JR! You still remember
what he did to you, right?
JR: I'll never forget what that sadistic bastard did to me...
Kane walks down the ramp and walks up the steel steps before
waiting on the apron. Kane looks around the arena before
stepping inside. Kane begins to raise his arms to make the
ringposts explode, but holds off and instead calls for a mic.
Kane: I was at the top of the world. I was one half of another
dominant tag team and I was the International champion. Then...
in one fell swoop, I lost it all. I lost my Synergy belt to two
little weasels that have no business getting in the ring with
me. Two weasels that I have put down time and time again. Then,
to make things worse, Randy Orton took my International title.
He stole it from me, and when I got a rematch, he beat me.
Pinned me. One, two three.
Kane paces as the crowd cheers.
Kane: But I wasn't done that night. No, I had punishment left to
mete out. Randy may have pinned me, but I was going to ruin him.
I was going to end his career. I was close.*Kane shows the
audience his index finger and his thumb put together with less
than half an inch in between* I was this close. And then someone
interfered. Someone stuck their head where it didn't belong. You
all know who I'm talking about.
The crowd chants for Shane Douglas.
Kane: Yes. Shane... Douglas. He saved Randy Orton's life that
night. He protected him when Randy was at his weakest. Randy was
like puddy in the palm of my hand and I was about to crush the
life out of him. Alas, that was not to be and I have moved on
from Randy Orton. For now. Samoa Joe will take care of him for
me. I, on the other hand, have turned my full attention to one
man. One human soul will feel the fires of hell. Hellfire and
brimstone will rain down upon him! Shane Douglas knows this. He
fears this. So he has asked for an excuse. He's asked for a way
to escape his fate. He asked for both of us to get a partner.
Kane paces around some more before standing in the middle and
looking at the ramp.
Kane: Shane, after I agreed to your stipulation, I thought long
and hard about what that actually meant. And I can't do it. I
can't sentence an innocent human to the agony you're going to
feel. I can't sentence another mortal to your fate. Shane, I
refuse your stipulation. I refuse to let anyone step in the ring
with us again. No, it will be just you and me. Not in a tag
match, but in a--
Kane's mic cuts off and the audience isn't able to hear what
he's said.
JR: Oh great, what now. I thought Kane being here was enough.
King: Shut up JR, I want to hear what he's saying!
JR: You can't. Hey, someone call the AV truck and figure out
what's going on.
Then JR and King's headsets cut off as well and the audience
can't hear anything except for each other. Kane taps his mic a
few times and then yells angrily at a stagehand who hands him
another mic. The new mic isn't working either and Kane is
getting visibly upset. Kane begins to leave the ring to attack
the stagehand when the lights start flickering. Kane stops and
steps back into the middle of the ring. He looks around for the
culprit, but there's none to be seen.
Those close to the ring can hear Kane yelling that Shane Douglas
can't scare him. The lights continue to flicker when they go out
all together. Now the arena is pitch black and audience members
are screaming in fear and excitement. Then, just as all noise
dies down, a gong is heard throughout the arena. Suddenly
lightning strikes the middle of the ring, and the lights turn
back on. Kane is huddled against the ropes, looking at the spot
where the lightning struck. The mics are working again as he
audience can hear Kane curse.
JR: Holy ****! Did you hear that sound, King?
King: There's only one person that I know of...
King is cut off by another gong going off. The crowd begins to
come alive as the Undertaker's music begins to play. Undertaker
comes out, holding a microphone and his music ends. Both the
audience and Kane are utterly shocked.
King: It's him! It's the Deadman!
JR: The Phenom, the Undertaker! He hasn't been seen in HCW in
months!
Undertaker: Kane, I have been watching you and our father told
me to come help you. He told me that you need guidance against
your opponent. Kane, I will be your partner at Ground Zero.
The lights go out again and a split second later when they come
back on, Undertaker is gone. Kane remains in the middle of the
ring, speechless. Finally, after thirty or so seconds, Kane
raises his arms and brings them down, causing the ringposts to
explode. Kane leaves the ring and walks up the ramp.

Shane Douglas' theme hits and he walks out onto the ramp
Douglas: Cut my f*cking music!!! Kane, I thought long and hard
about who my partner should be... And I decided taht it can
only be one man. A man that knows you better than anyone, even
your brother. A man who has owned you in singles competition...
A man who will do anything to get his job back...
Taz's them hits and he joins Douglas on the ramp.
Taz: Kane, did you think you could replace me? I hate this
****er standing beside me, but while you were trying to move on
and find a new partner, I was just trying to get my job back.
Shane did that for me. In return, I'm gonna choke your ass out!
Crowd begins chanting... Taz is gonna kill you!!!
We see footage of when The Brothers of Destruction used to team
to great and effect, and the two former members of The
Revolution, Shane and Taz before we see Kane and Shane face to
face in the ring.
We go back to the skybox and Todd Grisham.
TG: An intruiging match in store for sure. Now I'm going to
start with you Dusty, what do the Brothers of Destruction have
to do to win?
DR: This one will be an all out brawl and you can bet the
Brothers of Destruction have alot of pain planned for Taz and
Shane Douglas. I think if they can use their size to their
advantage, they will be just fine in knocking off their
opponents.
TG: Thanks for that Dusty, Jim, what do you say about what Shane
and Taz's chances and how they can win?
JR: I don't know, it would be better if they could work as a
cohesive unit and maybe hope there's some sort of dissension in
the ranks of the Brothers of Destruction. Apart from that, just
try and use their obvious skill as the Brothers of Destruction
have the obvious size advantage.
TG: Thanks Jim, now Scott, what do you think of Shane Douglas.
Is he a changed man or do you not trust him?
SS: It's honestly hard for me to say as I've been on the
opposite brand to him the whole time but he's proving more and
more people that he can be trusted each week, for me if he gets
through this tag with Taz and doesn't form some form of alliance
then I might change my opinion on him, but until then I've got
my eye on him.
TG: Ok, well what do you guys think in terms of predictions,
Scott?
SS: Brothers of Destruction for me Todd.
TG: And how anout you Dusty?
I don't think you can ever count out the Brothers of
Destruction. That's my pick.
TG: And finally your opinion JR?
JR: The Brothers of Destruction may be as destructive as ever,
that's who I am choosing.
TG: Well, thanks guys. We're nearly at the end of this event but
we've got one more match to look at, and it will the be the Main
Event of the evening. The Universal Title will be on the line
and it will be contested between The Challenger Cody Rhodes and
The Champion Kurt Angle. It was The Cutting Edge where Hulk
Hogan decided to give the next opportunity to Cody. Before we
see a preview of this, let's go to Matt who is with Cody in the
back.

MS: Cody, how do you feel just hours before your Universal Title
match with Kurt Angle?
Well Matt, I feel ready. I've been training my ass off,
watching film like a madman and I think I have the formula to
beat Kurt Angle. I'm ready to take my place atop this company
and its right there for the taking. The only thing between me
and the top of the mountain top is Kurt, and as good, no as
great as Kurt is, I won't let him stop me from taking my
rightful place atop this company...Now if you'll excuse me, I
need to go prepare.
Cody shakes hands with Matt and goes on his way.
MS: Let's see the build up to this sure-fire great match.

Hogan: Now, after watching all the matches from the last two
shows, I've found one man who's quite deserving of his chance to
dethrone Kurt Angle. As good as the champion has been lately, I
think I've found the right man to take him down...
At Ground Zero, Kurt Angle will defend his Universal
Championship against...
Cody Rhodes!
The crowd is ecstatic of Hogan's choice, chanting Cody's name
multiple times. Dusty looks pleased of Hogan's decision while
Edge is seen scratching his head.
Edge: Hulk, I'm wondering something: Are you giving Cody a shot
at the Universal Title because of who is now a co-CEO...
Hogan: You know something, Edge... Be careful what you may
think!
Edge begins to stare daggers at Hogan, who returns the favor.
Hogan: I didn't even talk with Dusty before making my
announcement, he can assure you of that... And besides, the one
and only reason I'm giving him the shot is because in the last
two weeks, he showed all the qualities of a future Universal
Champion while getting over the fact that he lost the Synergy
Tag Team title... I know it, You know it, they all know it...
Cody Rhodes is the man who will give us the best chances of
bringing the Universal Title back on Fusion.
The contract signing will be held next Fusion and I've already
invited Kurt to be here, as we'll put the finishing touch into
the main-event of Ground Zero.
The show ends with Hogan and Dusty leaving the ring together,
while Edge looks at both men. The crowd is pretty wild and we
can definitely hear "Cody" chants all over the crowd.
We then see highlights of Rhodes' failed attempt to win the
title the first time around against Austin.

Cody is backstage and the kid is ecstatic
YES! This is what I'm talking about! At Ground Zero, I have
the opportunity of a lifetime, to become Universal Champion.
Austin may have beaten me last time, but I've done alot of
growing since then. This time, I will walk out Universal
Champion, even if I have to go through the Wrestling Machine,
Kurt Angle! Kurt, next week, we are gonna meet face to face in
the ring when we sign that contract and I want you to know that
you will be staring into the eyes of the hungriest competitor
you've come up against. Christian is a nutcase, Edge has his
briefcase, Lesnar was on the way out, but me, I need that title
to solidify myself as a mainstay of HCW. This is my chance, and
I won't give it up for anything. Kurt, I promise to you,
myself, and most importantly these fans....
Crowd starts chanting "Cody"
THAT I WILL BE THE NEXT UNIVERSAL CHAMPION!
Cody continues walking backstage, being congratulated by random
stage crew members, also on his way to find his broski, Zack.

Angle watches Cody speak, from his TV screen. He has a smirk on
his face. He sees the cameramen watching him and he turns to
stare at him.
Angle: If you're searching for any comments from me concerning
my Ground Zero Universal Title Match, I just have that to say...
I'll keep my comments for the one man who deserves them, at the
next Fusion. And I can't wait.
We see both men making their way to the ring for the contract
signing.

We return from a commercial break and we see the ring filled
with stuff that looked like we were about to have a contract
signing. Hogan, Foley and Dusty Rhodes are all there, with mic
in hands.
Hogan: We don't want to make you wait longer, so without further
adieu, the challenger... CODYYY RHODESSSSS!
Smoke and Mirrors plays and the crowd goes wild for their
favourite, as he comes to the ring, slapping hands with the
crowd. As soon as he enters, he shakes the hand of Hogan, Foley,
and then after a little staredown, his father.
IC: And the man who will represent Collision in this match, he
is the undisputed HCW Universal Champion, KURTT ANGGGLEEE!
Medal plays and the crowd gives a mixed reaction to the champ,
who does his usual pose on the ramp, before coming to the ring,
in a very focused manner. He also shakes the hands of the three
men, before staring at Cody. They are on the opposite sides of
the table, as both men sits down.
Your lawyers saw this contract earlier and they expressed no
criticism of it. But before you both sign this contract and make
it official, does anyone wanna say a word?
Angle gets up from his chair and picks the mic on his side of
the table.
Angle: You've said, Cody, that you were undoubtedly the
hungriest competitor I've come up against... There is some truth
to that... I understand that Edge still had that briefcase and
that Brock was on his way out...
But what you don't seem to understand is that every single
wrestler in this company is working very very hard to be the top
dog. Just like you, Christian, Edge and Brock wanted to be the
top dog, even for just a short period of time.
This is what I've found out relatively early on in my career, to
be the Man, you must work very hard... and have the talent to
surpass everyone. This is what you're up against, young Cody.
Cody goes up from his chair and picks the mic on his side.
Angle, I'll admit, you are probably the most talented wrestler
on this roster. But with God and all these fans as my witness, I
am the hungriest. And when we collide at Ground Zero, it'll be a
classic match these fans will never forget. Because unlike
before, when I fought Austin for that same belt at Birth of
Destruction, I had never tasted failure. My career was a story
book and the beautiful ending was supposed to be right there.
But Austin ruined that. No, no I ruined that. I wasn't focused.
I wasn't prepared. I wasn't ready. But now,
Cody takes a deep breath.
Now I am ready! I am ready to be the man! I am ready to be the
top dog! I am ready to put that belt, around my waist and call
myself these people's champion!
The crowd is pumped and begin chanting "Cody" as they can tell
his intensity is raising with every word he says.
So Kurt, when I told you this match would be a classic, I meant
it. Because no matter how many times you hit me with an Angle
Slam, you will not keep my shoulders to the mat for the count of
three! No matter how long you put me in that Ankle Lock and
torque it with all your might, I will not tap! No matter what
form of hell and punishment you try to inflict on me, I will
continue to fight until that belt
Cody points at Angle's Universal Title.
Until that beautiful belt is mine!
Cody throws his mic down and gets in Angle's face. Foley and
Hogan are going towards both men, to try to split them apart,
but Angle signals them to stay where they are, that he has the
situation in control. Dusty takes back the mic his son threw
down and gives it back to him.
Angle: That's fine, I love his attitude. Just like his dad.
But Cody, if you weren't ready back then... what makes you think
you are, now?
Cody, those people ****ing love you and you know why? Because
you're exactly like them... A working man! Exactly like your
daddy, Cody.
Angle sees that Dusty's staring at him and he lets a smile go.
Angle: Now, don't get me wrong... It's very noble to work your
ass off... Anybody should do that... The problem is, Cody, why
are some people more successful than others?
Simply because some people possess natural abilities... And
adding that to the hard work they do, it makes them the best.
Cody, you and your Dad are quite similar. You've been getting
success throughout your careers with hard work and dedication...
But you were not the best wherever you went.... Mostly because
the people at the top have had that natural ability....
Cody, you can't change the fact that with all the hard work
you've been doing and that you'll do in approach of this
match... You'll be in quite the disadvantage compared to me,
son...
Beca-
Dusty: Because Angle you don't see that despite all the talent
in the world that you have, you are missing the crucial element
that my boy and myself both had, that made me a champion and
that will make him a champion at Ground Zero. You don't have our
heart. That heart that beats loud and strong and demands
greatness from of us, even if we don't see it in ourselves!
*Cody looks at his dad, almost aggravated that he was cut off
but at the same time, accepting of his answer. Cody nods, and
puts out his arm as if to let his father have the table. We see
Hogan and Foley looking very surprised of Dusty's reaction.*
Dusty: You can compare my son to me all day long if that's what
you please to do, but you can't beat me, and you sure as hell,
won't beat him. So instead of trying to draw similarities, go to
the drawing board and draw yourself a better game plan because
when I look across the ring at that "boy" over there, I see fire
in his eyes. I see a passion. I see determination. I see that he
wants your belt more than he wants oxygen in his damn lungs and
that should scare you. I see my son, Cody Rhodes, the next
Universal Champion!
Angle stares daggers towards Dusty for a moment, until he
decides to smile. He looks at both him and Cody, as hthe
challenger signs his name on the contract.
Angle: Dusty, just be careful to draw the line between being a
father and a CEO... I understand that you have faith for your
son, but you must stay objective...
I'll say this... I have plenty of heart... Winning a gold medal
with a ****ing broken neck was all heart! Competing against a
beast like Brock Lesnar at WM 19 with my neck issues was all
heart. Everything I did throughout all my career has been based
on heart! Never say that I don't possess it!!!
Cody, if you want my belt more than you want oxygen, then you're
just like me.... I've repeatedly said that I would die to obtain
this belt... because it's the one thing that drives everyone! It
drives me as well as it's driving you, Cody.
I'll finish with this, and I want you to understand me pretty
well... I will do everything in my power to keep this title. I
haven't put all the efforts I've done with winning and defending
this belt against some of the best this company offered me... to
lose it against someone like you, Cody...
The crowd heavily boos that last line, but Kurt simply does not
care.
Angle: What will you do after you fail for a second time, Cody?
That's the question you must ask yourself, because it will
happen, oh, it's true... It's DAMN true!
Angle signs the contract, throws the pen away and comes
face-to-face with Cody, who isn't backing down. Finally, after
several seconds, Foley and Dusty split each men away, while they
continue to talk to each other. The show.

We see the match signature and a staredown in the ring.
TG: Our main event is sure to be a good one, let's do this for
the final time. Jim Ross, what has Kurt Angle got to do hold
down the young challenger Cody Rhodes?
JR: He's got to do what he does best and that's dominate his
opponents on the mat with his technical ability. If he does
that, Rhodes is in trouble.
TG: Ok, now Dusty, tell me what your son has got to do to win in
tonights Main Event?
Oh boy oh boy, am I excited for this one. Well, my boy needs to
stay focused, not let his emotions get the better of him,
because remember, he is young, and keep these fans energy behind
him. These people love him, they want to see him win the belt
and I think if he keeps that in mind, we will have ourselves a
new Universal Champion.
TG: And finally I turn to Scott Steiner, who should be
considered the favourite and why?
SS: Angle should be considered the favorite. Why? Because in my
opinion, although Cody Rhodes is the future, Kurt Angle is the
past and the present. He outweighs Cody in most departments, and
you all know that both wrestlers know that.
TG: Thanks for that Scott, now just one more question each. Who
is going to win The Universal Title match?
JR: Sorry Dusty, I gotta say Angle.
TG: Scott?
JR: Me too, I just don't think it'll be Rhodes' night.
TG: And although I think I know which way this is going, what do
you say Dusty?
This is the only one on the list I'm gonna pick by my heart
instead of my head, Cody Rhodes, New Universal Champion! Go on
son, make me proud!
