Results Format
By: Thurl Date: December 18, 2012, 12:28 am

Thought I would start a thread so that I can see what you the
players like or where you think the format of how Pat and I post
results should be. Pat and I are on pretty much the same page
about typing up results. We both are having issues with
motivation to post them. Not because we don't want to or that we
don't like posting results or anything, it comes more from the
fact that the way we have been doing it as of late is very time
consuming. You all want awesome results and we do too, but doing
it week after week and trying to outdo our previous results post
gets more and more difficult over time, not to mention the hours
it takes to put together awesomeness.
Don't get me wrong, Pat and I aren't quitting and we still love
the game and we love doing what we do for you guys, but it
strikes us both that maybe its time for a change. Nothing is set
in stone, but I feel it a good idea to see where you the player
are about how results are posted. Pat and I have bandied some
ideas about like saving the lengthy style we have been using for
pay per views only and restricting the weekly shows to how
Collision was posted.
Pat suggested that maybe on the weekly shows we have one or two
matches written out, like the main events, the rest like what
was posted this week.
Both good ideas. Both time savers so Pat and I can get results
out to you faster. So let us what you think the results should
look like, or what you do and don't like about how they're done
now. Aside from delays of course, we all hate those. Any
suggestion and thoughts you have will go a long ways and help
Pat and I greatly. Thanks in advance.

Would suggest posting the results like they were posted for
Collision, but with a twist... If there is a screwy finish, or
if there is a storyline to be furthered by a something going
down a certain way, write it out. Also, still include segments
to further storylines... Other than that, I think anything you
can do to lessen the burden on the two of you should be done.

On the IC thread someone suggested that we write our own matches
if we can. I find myself with lots of free time sometimes, so
how would that work?

+1
Like for the next Fusion, I assuredly will write a couple of
segments for the show.
Like Spirit said, though, if people wanna write their matches
afterwards, feel free.
Of course, for the PPV and big shows (Awards, Draft), we'll have
longer results

The only problem I could see in writing our own matches would be
the inevitable bitching of someone saying they looked weak or
something along those lines... Nobody is going to question the
staff on that, but they may question their fellow players. If
we can avoid that problem, I'm all for people writing their own
matches.

In that instance, Pat and I would look at it and be the verdict
if all is fair and no one is made to look weak. If not, it can
be edited by either of us if needed. The only real thing that
would need avoided on that is a war of words. If we are
reasonable and handle it civilly and come to one of us BEFORE
going off on someone. (Sam) it should be fine.
For the most part though, you all are good at following that
rule so I don't see it being a major issue, you are all good
about pming each other to make sure its ok first too. Which
isn't even required, though it is appreciated.

I agree with Six. Also, anything to get the results out faster.
