State of HCW discussion

While I was waiting for the remaining pieces of the last PPV so
I could post it, I was thinking that it would be a great idea to
start a discussion about how HCW has been this last year, what
we can improve on and have the people playing the game discuss
about ideas on how to make the experience better for those
playing it.
It is known that it has been quiet lately. Mostly because of
real life stuff getting in the way. But I would love to know
what you think about the game now and what we need to do to
bring new players in the game.
Let's keep the discussion open-minded and under control.

While for the most part, I believe the game is run properly as
it should be. The people who are involved do a good job keeping
up the game. I believe the game has quieted due to the limited
amount of character we currently have. While this is not to say
the storylines haven't been creative, the issue is that we've
had the same characters for so long that not too much can be
added to diversify the HCW universe as possible.
In my opinion, I believe it is time to be able to add a fourth
active wrestler in addition to the manager slot to each user.
Now, I'm not saying this because I have someone in mind or
anything, but I think it will help add to HCW. If people are
apprehensive about adding another character or anything like
that, I understand and perhaps restrictions could be added like
users would have to be here for a year long period.
I've seen other e-feds at different ends of the spectrum on
active characters. It ranges from pretty much unlimited to only
having one. We've held on to the three wrestler and a manager
for a rule and it has worked. However, it is not a bad idea to
add another and see how it could help activity.

I think another active wrestler each would be good. But I know
in my situation I would need to post more often to have another
active wrestler.

The current rule about only having 3 active characters and a non
active Manager/Valet was put in place to keep wrestlers
available for new people. If we allow four that limits what new
people can choose from, and the list is already limited enough
from the current rosters and reserves. The only exception of
course is GM/Staff, they have to have multiple inactive
characters in some instances.
I do see quietness too and in all honesty I would rather
activity picked up with who we got before allowing a fourth
character. I would like to be sure the additions get used before
approving them. Activity needs to pick up from everyone. Myself
included.

Well, Thurl, how can we add new people in the game?
If that wouldn't be an issue, I would be okay with keeping the
three active character limit/person.
But I wonder if we can get enough new blood to allow us to stay
at three characters.
Now, Getting a fourth character means that people will need to
post with all four enough to keep them relevant. It is easy to
do when the fourth character is a member of a stable. A little
more difficult for those who can't. Now, it wouldn't be
obligatory as for exemple,I know Sixx will not get to that
limit. He has issues even playing with one, for god's sake.
Let's discuss about how we can bring new players in and if it
doesn't wotk, let's try out the four character limit.

Getting new people means we have to get new people to find the
forum. That takes us to advertise and post our logo and address
at other sites. LOP are shitty and won't allow even a thought of
HCW. Though having our own place was their idea. So we have to
find other places to post our link and logo and advertise
ourselves. I have posted it on facebook from time to time. Still
need more.

While I'm not saying we shouldn't advertise elsewhere, don't you
think that it would encourage more activity if each user got a
new character to build up and add to HCW's storylines?
