Week 4 Power Rankings - Commishball Edition
By: Lord of Fail Date: January 2, 2013, 9:21 am
---------------------------------------------------------
1. Detroit Recession (9-1-1-1, 30 PTS) GF: 14 (59)
GA: 0 (6) GD: +14 (+53) LAST WEEK: 2
OFFENSE: A +
DEFENSE: A + OVERALL: A +
The Detroit Recession were, without a doubt, the best team in
Week 4. They are only in 2nd in HCD East because they have 1
regulation win less then the Orlando WillyNillys.
They did not allow a single goal in Week 4, and got a huge win
against the Orlando WillyNillys, although the Orlando
WillyNillys managed to hold out until overtime before allowing
the goal. The Detroit Recession should have no problem winning
the HCD East Play-In against the Mexican Rattlesnakes, and that
should lead to an exciting HCD East final. With shut down
defense and the best offense in HCD, the Detroit Recession are
the favorites to win the HCD Cup.
2. Night Hawks
HTML http://cdn.xufe.com/images/livescores/red-card-16.png
(4-1-0-7,
13 PTS) GF: 14 (28) GA: 1 (34) GD: +13 (-6) LAST WEEK: 4
OFFENSE: A +
DEFENSE: A + OVERALL: A +
Not only did the Night Hawks qualify for the playoffs, but they
did so while winning all 3 of their Week 4 games, and by winning
5 of their last 6 to finish 2nd in HCD West. They scored as many
goals as the Detroit Recession, and only allowed
1, playing excellent haxball and showing high amounts of team
chemistry which was demonstrated in a 8 - 0 demolition of HCD
West leaders Swag Weathermen. This team is the favorite to win
HCD West, as everything fell into place for them last week. They
got a key win against the Cuba Cyclones, and took that momentum
to beat the Mexican Rattlesnakes 4 - 1. This team has become
very dangerous, and might be able to sneak into the final
promotion spot if they manage to win the HCD Cup. However, this
would require a huge upset of the near-invincible Detroit
Recession or Orlando WillyNillys. Still, it is possible, and we
should have an exciting HCD West playoff.
3. Orlando WillyNillys
HTML http://cdn.xufe.com/images/livescores/red-card-16.png
(10-0-1-1,
30 PTS) GF: 7 (37) GA: 2 (6) GD: +5 (+31) LAST WEEK: 1
OFFENSE: C
DEFENSE: A + OVERALL: B +
The Orlando WillyNillys have been knocked out of the top spot in
the Commishball edition of the Power Rankings. They have looked
slightly weaker this week, allowing 2 goals and only scoring 7,
3 of which came from a forfeit. They fell to their Divisional
Rivals, the Detroit Recession, but managed to
hold off until Overtime, allowing them to keep their lead in HCD
East, barely. they have earned a bye to the Semi-Finals, in
which they will play either the Detroit Recession, who are the
favorites, or the underdog Mexican Rattlesnakes. Should they
play the Detroit Recession, an exciting 5-game series will
follow, and that series shall be the most exciting playoff
matchup in Season 2. Although the Detroit Recession are
favorites to win the HCD Cup, the Orlando WillyNillys are a
close second, and if they can start producing offensively, they
can beat the favored Recession and be Champions of HCD
East.
4. Toronto Raiders (3-1-1-7, 12 PTS) GF: 7 (16) GA: 6 (38)
GD: +1 (-22) LAST WEEK: 3
OFFENSE: C
DEFENSE: B OVERALL: B -
The Raiders had an easy way to the playoff with the
Cuba Cyclones forfeiting on the final day of the
season. Overall, the Raiders played well and managed to beat the
Swag Weathermen 3 - 2 in overtime. They are underdogs to the
Night Hawks in the Play-In which should be an exciting series,
the winner of whom has a good possibility of going to the HCD
Final after beating the stumbling Swag Weathermen. The Toronto
Raiders need to build a bit more chemistry to be able to beat
the Night Hawks in the HCD West Play-In. This team has a small
chance of winning the Cup, but it would require a high amount of
chemistry and some minor improvements in terms of offense and
defense in team practices and pregames.
5. Cuba Cyclones
[img]
HTML https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR3MuUrebTOQWxE5GHLzG87LT9KoccKXqerze4vtuxNunQziCdF[/img]<br
/>(3-0-0-9, 9 PTS) GF: 4 (16) GA: 5 (39) GD: -1 (-23) LAST
WEEK: 8
OFFENSE: D +
DEFENSE: A - OVERALL: C +
Despite being eliminated, the Cuba Cyclones still moved up 3
spots in the Commishball power rankings. Their defense was
surprisingly good this week, as they only allowed 2 goals to the
red-hot Night Hawks. Their other 2 games were
forfeits, but the Cyclones are a team that is in a rebuilding
process, and that process will begin in Season 3 in which they
get 1st overall draft pick for the Division B Draft because they
won the Draft Lottery. This is a team that has struggled and
been screwed over since the season began, as their first 3 draft
picks, only played a total of 5 minutes. Their AGM retired at
the beginning of the season, and the team had 4 players die on
them during the season: sodaboy, McGrupp, Agent King and SoVa.
As well, Wazza will be leaving this team to be GM of an
expansion team. The team has a solid base however with Natalie
and Andyvoh in net, and Michael Jackson, Ali Chamas and Lord of
Fail on the attack. This team needs to draft well in Season 3,
as they have 1st overall, but then dont pick again until the end
of the 4th round.
6. Mexican Rattlesnakes
HTML http://cdn.xufe.com/images/livescores/red-card-16.png(6-1-0-5,<br
/>19 PTS) GF: 7 (35) GA: 8 (30) GD: -1 (+5) LAST WEEK: 6
OFFENSE: C
DEFENSE: C + OVERALL: C
The Mexican Rattlesnakes played average. They won, they lost.
They are not a playoff team right now and will most like lose in
the Play-In to the heavily favored Detroit
Recession. They need to score more or allow less goals if they
want to have even the slightest chances of even winning the
Play-In, let alone the Conference Title or the Cup. However,
they got a key win on Day 1 against the Swag Weathermen, thus
securing them a spot in Division A for Season 3.
7. Swag Weathermen
HTML http://cdn.xufe.com/images/livescores/red-card-16.png
(6-0-1-5,
18 PTS) GF: 3 (17) GA: 15 (32) GD: 11 (-15) LAST WEEK: 5
OFFENSE: D -
DEFENSE: F OVERALL: D -
Wow. Just wow. I am at a loss for words at how bad the
Weathermen played in Week 4. They played poorly, and it showed.
They lost against the Mexican Rattlesnakes, thus
preventing them to get an automatic promotion to Division A. In
order for the Swag Weathermen to be promoted, the Toronto
Raiders and Night Hawks must not win the Cup. They will face the
winner of the Play-In of there 2 teams in the Semi-Finals, and
should the win the 5-game series, they will be automatically be
promoted to Division A. Their fate is in their hands, as if they
lose they will have to hope that the Cup goes to HCD East or
they will be Relegated to Division B and get 4th overall pick in
the draft, which is something that General Manager Apple will
certainly try to avoid.
8. Squirtle Squad

HTML http://cdn.xufe.com/images/livescores/red-card-16.png
(3-0-0-9,
6 PTS) GF: 0 (19) GA: 16 (42) GD: -16 (-23) LAST WEEK: 7
OFFENSE: F
DEFENSE: F OVERALL: F
SS. That is all that is needed to be said. They had 0 attendance
for the last 2 games, and managed to lose 10 - 0 by Mercy Rule
after only 4 minutes and 6 seconds of play in the only game that
they actually showed up. They are clearly a very weak team that
needs a massive improvement. They have 2nd overall pick, as the
Cuba Cyclones won the Draft Lottery. Overall, the
Squirtle Squad finished 7th if Penalty Cards are not counted.
They finished ahead of the Cuba Cyclones because they had scored
3 goals more then the Cuba Cyclones. The Squirtle Squad need to
use their 2nd overall pick in the Division B draft to improve
drastically their lineup, and Genral Manager stone55 needs to
make sure that he has players. Also, the players need to make
themselves aware of when they are playing and actually attend
games if the Squirtle Squad want to have any Season 3 game not
be forfeited.

You forgot to add one thing on the SW power rankings: well, 2
things actually.
I didn't watch the replays of the games but I really hope they
were trolling.
2nd, Cole72 has finally gotten decent internet, and I know I'm
not nearly the best player in the league, but I don't that it's
a coincidence that:
SS record with me on the team: 2-1
SS record without me on the team: 1-8
SW record when I actually can play: 3-0
SW record when I was unable to play: 1-4
I know this post will get a lot of negs if I just leave it at
that so I'm going to make one last thing clear: I'm NOT saying
I'm the bets player in the league or even best player on the
team, I'm not even saying that I'm an amazing player: But I
don't think it's a coincidence that teams play much better when
I can play....
Maybe I'm just a good luck charm? idk :-/

trolling or not, i dont care, they played poorly, they get
placed poorly on the power rankings
if they played srs against the rattlesnakes and beat them, they
would be in division a atm
