Season 3 HCD Staff / Season 3 Changes

There will be a lot of new Staff members for Season 3. This is
because although we have become MUCH more organized, I still do
most of the work and the workload amounts to over 10 hours each
week doing Match Reports, editing stats, editing EzBlocks,
editing team pages, taking care of the league's problems, etc
Therefore, I am opening up many new staff positions for season
3, and will be taking applications IMMEDIATELY.
The Staff will be announced during the Off-Season.
Please only apply if you are prepared to actually put in effort
and time for HCD
The Staff Positions for HCD Season 3 are as follows:
LEAGUE RUNNERS / ORGANIZERS
LEAGUE COMMISSIONER: LORD OF FAIL

HCD DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS: COLE72

DIVISION B DEPUTY COMMISSIONER: TBD
DIVISION A DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS: TBD (NAMED BY COLE72)
DIVISION B DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS: TBD (NAMED BY COLE72)
STAFF POSITIONS OPEN - IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE
NOTE: THE NUMBER IN THE BRACKET REFERS TO THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE
FOR EACH POSITION
HCD DEPUTY COMMISSIONER (1)
WHOEVER IS NAMED DEPUTY COMMISSIONER IS EXPECTED TO BE ABLE TO
DO EVERYTHING THAT THE COMMISSIONER CAN DO AND BE ABLE TO RUN
THE LEAGUE WHENEVER THE COMMISSIONER IS NOT AROUND. AS WELL,
THEY MUST KNOW HOW TO EDIT EZBLOCKS AND PAGES THROUGH BBC AND
HTML CODE. MUST BE AVAILABLE ALL GAME NIGHTS AND IS EXPECTED TO
CHECK THE FORUMS AT LEAST ONCE EVERY 48 HOURS.
HCD DIVISION B DEPUTY COMMISSIONER (1)
RUNS DIVISION B WHENEVER ALI CHAMAS IS NOT AROUND. PRETTY MUCH
DOES WHATEVER ALI CHAMAS TELLS THEM TO.
MATCH REPORTERS / OFFICIALS (8 - 4 PER DIVISION)
WE NEED OFFICIALS AND MATCH REPORTERS TO RECORD AND WRITE MATCH
REPORTS. PRETTY SELF-EXPLANATORY, MUST BE AVAILABLE MOST IF NOT
ALL NIGHT. MUST BE AWARE OF THE HCD RULEBOOK AND ARE EXPECTED TO
FOLLOW IT STRICTLY.
CODEWORD MANAGERS (4 - 2 PER DIVISION)
MUST BE ABLE TO SEND NEW CODEWORDS TO PLAYERS ON THE TEAMS THAT
THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR. NOT A HARD TASK, BUT IT REQUIRES
AVAILABILITY IN BETWEEN EACH GAME TO SEND THE NEW CODEWORDS TO
PLAYERS.
PAGE MANAGERS (AS MANY AS POSSIBLE - AT LEAST 3)
MUST KNOW HOW TO EDIT HTML CODE. MUST BE PREPARED TO WORK AT
LEAST 1 HOUR EACH WEEK. THIS INCLUDES EDITING INDIVIDUAL PLAYER
AND FORMER PLAYER STATS ON THE TEAM PAGES AS WELL AS UPDATING
THE LEAGUE LEADERS AND SCHEDULE PAGES.
EZBLOCK MANAGERS (2)
MUST KNOW HOW TO EDIT BBC AND HTML CODES. IS EXPECTED TO EDIT
EZBLOCKS AT LEAST ONCE EACH GAMEDAY. EXPECTED TO EDIT THE
SCHEDULE, STANDINGS AND WAIVER ORDER EZBLOCK REAL TIME.
RECAP WRITERS (AS MANY AS POSSIBLE)
PRETTY SIMPLE POSITION. RECAP WRITERS WRITE A RECAP OF A GAME
FOR THOSE WHO DONT WANT TO WATCH A REPLAY OF THE GAME.
HOSTS AND STREAMERS (9001)
WE NEED SET HOSTS AND STREAMERS FOR SEASON 3. PLEASE PM COLE72
IF YOU CAN HOST OR STREAM.
APPLICATION DEADLINE IS FINAL DAY OF SEASON 2 PLAYOFFS.
2. SEASON 3 CHANGES
BESIDES THE INDUCTION OF NEW STAFF, THE FOLLOWING CHANGES WILL
TAKE EFFECT FOR SEASON 3:
- Player Defense Board:
When a player is voted to be Suspended or Banned by their
Divisional General Managers and Commissioner, the player shall
have 48 hours to state his case in the Player Defense Board. The
Divisional Commissioner shall post a topic stating the suggested
suspension or ban length BEFORE the player is suspended or
banned. After 48 hours, the HCD Commissioner shall make a Final
Ruling on the length of suspension or ban, which can be as low
as no suspension or ban. Note that the suspension or ban cannot
be elongated from a post by the player on the Player Defense
Board.
- Changes to GM Meetings
GM meeting shall still take place at 9:00 EVERY THURSDAY. All
General Managers AND Commissioners from ALL DIVISIONS shall
gather and discuss problems with HCD, their Divisions, players,
etc.
Following this meeting, All Commissioners shall stay behind for
a Commissioner Meeting in which problems with HCD as a whole
will be discussed. Failure to show up to multiple meetings
without reason can result in being replaced.
- Promotion / Relegation
Because very few people have actually read the Rulebook, few
people know the rules for playoffs and Promotion / Relegation.
If you are unaware of that procedure, please check the Rulebook.
For Season 3, the top 3 teams are automatically promoted to
Division A. The 4th placed team shall also be promoted UNLESS a
team outside the top 4 wins the HCD Cuppp, in which that team
shall replace the 4th placed team in promotion. An extra team
shall be promoted for every 2 Season 3 Expansion Teams. This is
determined by next highest team. All non-promoted teams are
Relegated to Division B.
- Rosters
The roster limit is 9, INCLUDING the GM, whether he is playing
or not. (8 + GM).
Teams who are over the limit must by under the limit BEFORE each
game or they automatically forfeit the game 4 - 0
- Season 3 Draft
The Draft Order shall be released after the Expansion Deadline.
- Expansion Teams
All Expansion teams shall enter Division B.
- Games
Each game room shall have its own individual password as to
prevent fakes. Codewords shall also be in effect. All other HCD
things, such as VS the worlds should have the pass = league. All
teams and players are EXPECTED to show up on time. No game will
start later than 15 minutes later than its scheduled starting
time. Note that only the Official can kick or ban a player from
the game room, and that the Official and both General Managers
WILL have admin AT ALL TIMES DURING THE GAME.
- Yellow and Red Cards
These are given when a team breaks the HCD Rulebook OR does not
record a game.
Even though the Official is expected to record, both teams
should record as well just in case.
- Friendly Inter-Divisional Matches
Division A teams may play Division B teams during the All Star
Break - just putting it out there as a possibility
- Preseason
Another possibility is a 1-Week Preseason to build team
chemistry
- Season length
Season 3 will not be longer than 4 weeks + playoffs + all star
week.
The Schedule shall be released after the Expansion Team
Deadline.
Lord of Fail shall make the schedule.
Teams may play a different amount of games depending on which
Division they are in. Gametimes shall remain 8:00 and 8:30.

Only reason league stayed alive was because I helped to take it
over from Limited ward in the begginning of Season 2 and then
gave the position of running the league to LOF due to my
schedule.
I'll take Deputy Commissioner happily, but it all depends if my
schedule opens up, or else I will be a little hesitant to take
the position.
