Automatic Draft/Trading/Affiliate project

So I have this idea for a new web based project. It would be
pretty massive, but I think it's possible.
The basic idea: team managers would be able to draft and trade
players through an automated system. This system would record
every player in the league into a database. The players would be
represented graphically with "trading cards" that hold various
information such as the player's name, position, availability,
etc.
Information about individual players: individual players would
be able to log in to the website to view their profile. Profiles
would be created by filling out a short form which would then be
recorded into the database.
Instant chat: Players and team managers would be able to
communicate live on this system in order to coordinate trades
and affiliate trades. Plus it would not use XAT because XAT has
autism. Also all trades and draft signings will be announced on
the chat feed.
Team managers: team managers would be able to log in through a
separate login system. As managers, they would be able to view
their team's "deck" (the players on their team) graphically. The
would also be able to trade "cards" (players) with other teams
and engage in a draft.
Trading card system: each player has their own trading card
according to their user defined profile. The color of the card
is different depending on your team or if you are a free agent.
Special stars would be displayed on the card for any player who
was a part of a team that won a division title.
The HCD Global Database (HGD): Everyone who has an account will
be able to access and search the HGD. The HGD is a graphical
representation of all players stored in the database. Each
player's trading card will be displayed side by side in a grid
format. Users will also be able to search/filter through the HGD
for individual players in the database. During a draft, the HGD
will be an efficient system for general managers to select free
agents in the draft pool to join their team.
Twitter updates: All trades and draft signings will be announced
automatically on a twitter feed. Because twitter is badass.
Admin panel: admins will be able to start a draft, move players
manually to another team/free agency, create new and delete
teams, and any other sh!t i can think of later.
Virtual money (this is probably not gonna happen): pretty self
explanatory.
Let me know what you think of this plan. Is this a really good
idea, or is it a waste of time?

good idea, dont bother with money
we americans dont know too much about transfers n loans n stuff
like that
i dont want to have to deal with 15 questions of "how do loans
work" daily...

No unfortunately I don't think it would be able to interface
with the team pages, at least not with this forum.

Well I plan on making a web server using node.js. I also have a
free test server set up for it. What experience do you have with
web design?
