Ultimate Frisbee Map + Rules

Rules to ultimate frisbee in Haxball (YES I KNOW THERE ARE A LOT
OF RULES, BUT TRUST ME IT'S WORTH IT ONCE YOU GET THE HANG OF

Rules for Haxball Ultimate Frisbee:

- 'x' or 'space' to sprint
- To throw the frisbee, DO NOT HOLD THE KICK BUTTON. Instead
simply touch the frisbee and it
will whip around.

| Possession Style Game Mode |
------------------------------------
1. Red team starts off by throwing the frisbee to the blue team
2. Blue team has first possession
3. When a team has possession, they are the only ones who can
touch the frisbee to throw it.
4. If a member of the non-possessing team throws the frisbee by
accident, gameplay continues and
possession does not change (even if the frisbee hits a
wall). If this causes a goal, the
possessing team gets 1 free goal as compensation.
5. The goal of the non-possessing team is to intercept the
possessing team's passes by throwing the
frisbee as it's moving into a sideline.
6. The non-possessing team MAY NOT touch the frisbee after it
has completely stopped moving. If the
frisbee is still moving, it is considered to be still flying
and therefore can be intercepted by
the non-possessing team. The possessing team may touch the
frisbee at any time, even when it is
still flying.
7. Possession ONLY CHANGES if the frisbee hits a sideline or if
a goal is scored.
8. If a goal is scored, the scoring team kicks off to the
opposing team and gameplay resumes with
the opposing team's possession. During a kickoff, players on
both teams must be onside (on their
respective half of the field). The only person who is
allowed to pass the midline at kickoff is
the one who is throwing the original kickoff.

| Special Cases |

Traveling:
- Defined as moving the frisbee by either kicking (pressing
'x') or tapping it without
throwing the frisbee. Traveling is often used as a way to
move the frisbee in order to
"keep it in the air" by the non-possessing team.
- Any form of travelling is considered illegitimate movement
of the frisbee and anyone
caught doing it must give up possession to the other team.
Double bouncing:
- Defined as a second bounce against a sideline while the
frisbee is still flying.
- If a double bounce occurs, only one change in possession
takes place.
- Example: blue possession bounces the frisbee against the
wall and a red teammate curves it
into the wall again. Result: red team retains possession

| Penalties |

1. If a player breaks the rules 3 or more times, he/she will be
benched until the next goal (this
can be either team). If the rule breaking continues after
being let back in, the player will be
benched for the rest of the game. Finally, if the player
still continues to intentionally break
the rules he/she may be banned from the room.
2. The referee has full discretion as to the manner and
severity of penalties.
