Season 4 Week 7 Playoff Preview

With 1 week remaining in the regular season, the following
analyzes each team's week 7 games and potential teams they may
play in the playoffs. Potential team matchups are shown from all
results this season (except cup games) in which they played with
the scores and results in chronological order, with the most
recent games on the right.
[size=20pt]Division A
The Division A playoff race is already over. The 4 teams making
it into the playoffs have already been decided. The only thing
left undecided is who finishes where, from 2nd to 4th. The 3
teams currently occupying those positions are 2 poitns apart.
The team that finishes in the fourth seed will have the
displeasure of facing the Orlando WillyNillys, who have only
lost 1 game this season so far. The teams that finish 2nd and
3rd must play each other in a series that will probably be a
fast paced, intense 3 game series.
Orlando WillyNillys
Points: 23
Games Remaining: 2
The Orlando WillyNillys have already clinched first place in the
Division. They play the Detroit Recession and Swag Weathermen in
their Week 7 games. Their two games should be used as
pre-playoff games in which they test lineups and chemistry
against two possible first round opponents.
Potential Playoff Matchups:
VS Detroit Recession: 8 - 0 W, 3 - 0 W [F]
VS Squirtle Squad: 5 - 1 W, 2 - 3 L, 4 - 3 OTW
VS Swag Weathermen: 1 - 0 OTW, 9 - 2 W
Swag Weathermen
Points: 14
Games Remaining: 1
Their only game left is against the Division leading Orlando
WillyNillys. They hold 2nd place in the division by 1 point, but
3rd place Detroit Recession have a game in hand. They should aim
to get at least one point in order to play the Detroit Recession
or the Squirtle Squad in the first round.
Potential Playoff Matchups:
VS Detroit Recession: 3 - 0 W [F], 0 - 3 L [F], 0 - 1 L [F]
VS Orlando WillyNillys: 0 - 1 OTL, 2 - 9 L
VS Squirtle Squad: 3 - 0 W [F], 3 - 0 W [F], 3 - 0 W [F]
Detroit Recession
Points: 13
Games Remaining: 2
The Detroit Recession can finish anywhere from 2nd to 4th. 3
points would secure 3rd, and 5 points secures then 2nd. They
face a difficult challenge in the Orlando WillyNillys, but also
face United Talent who have been a major disappointment this
season. They should have no problem finishing at least 3rd in
the Division.
Potential Playoff Matchups:
VS Orlando WillyNillys: 0 - 8 L, 0 - 3 L
VS Squirtle Squad: 2 - 3 OTL, 4 - 2 W, 3 - 0 W [F]
VS Swag Weathermen: 0 - 3 L [F], 3 - 0 W [F], 1 - 0 W [F]
Squirtle Squad
Points: 12
Games Remaining: 1
Their final game is against the United Talent. They must win the
game if they want any chance of avoiding playing the Orlando
WillyNillys whom they have lost twice to this season by scores
of 5 - 1 and 4 - 3 OT. They did manage to beat them once, on
Week 1 Day 3 they beat them 3 - 2.
Potential Playoff Matchups:
VS Detroit Recession: 3 - 2 OTW, 2 - 4 L, 0 - 3 L [F]
VS Orlando WillyNillys: 1 - 5 L, 3 - 2 W, 3 - 4 OTL
VS Swag Weathermen: 0 - 3 L [F], 0 - 3 L [F], 0 - 3 L [F]
United Talent

Division B
Division B is much more intense than Division A. First place has
yet to be claimed, and there is still a playoff spot up for
grabs. Every team has something to play for, be it a playoff
position or higher ranking.
Penguin Pride
Points: 27
Games Remaining: 2
The Penguin Pride currently sit first in Division B, but they
face the second place Cyclones in both their remaining games.
They must win at least one point or lose both games in
regulation by 1 goal each to win first place in the Division.
The Penguin Pride lost to the Cyclones in their only game so
far, but that was 6 weeks ago when they were crushed 7-1 mainly
because of a 5-goal performance from Cruel. They are guaranteed
a top two spot, and play either the Night Hawks, GTA Golden
Eagles or New York Haxball Club in the Play-In.
Potential Playoff Matchups:
VS Cuba Cyclones: 1 - 7 L
VS GTA Golden Eagles: 5 - 2 W, 5 - 1 W, 3 - 1 W
VS New York Haxball Club: 3 - 0 W [F], 3 - 0 W [F], 3 - 0 W [F]
VS Night Hawks: 2 - 0 W, 11 - 2 W, 7 - 1 W
Cuba Cyclones
Points: 21
Games Remaining: 2
The Cuba Cyclones have clinched a 2nd place finish at least for
this season. They can win first place in the Division if the
beat the Pengiun Pride both times next in regulation week by a
total of 3 goals. The Cuba Cyclones have improved from last
season's performance that brought them to the Divisional Finals.
They seek to win the playoff and promote to Division A.
Similarly to the Penguin Pride, they both have superb records so
far, and their meetings in Week 7 may be a preview of the
Divisional Finals.
Potential Playoff Matchups:
VS GTA Golden Eagles: 1 - 0 W, 3 - 4 L, 7 - 1 W
VS Night Hawks: 7 - 0 W, 2 - 3 L, 2 - 1 W
VS New York Haxball Club: 1 - 7 L, 3 - 0 W [F], 3 - 0 W [F]
VS Penguin Pride: 7 - 1 W
Night Hawks
Points: 11
Games Remaining: 1
The Night Hawks have a one point edge on 4th place GTA Golden
Eagles. However, they play their final game against a desperate
NYHC team. Should GTA lose their game in regulation, they will
clinch 3rd place. Should GTA gain at least one point, Night
Hawks will have to match the amount of point they obtain to
remain in 3rd and play the team that finishes 2nd between the
Cyclones and Penguin Pride. Either way, they have already
clinched a playoff spot and they should be working on building
chemistry to try to upset one of the top 2 teams.

VS Cuba Cyclones: 0 - 7 L, 3 - 2 W, 1 - 2 L
VS GTA Golden Eagles: 2 - 1 W, 4 - 3 OTW, 6 - 1 W
VS New York Haxball Club: 1 - 9 L, 0 - 3 L [F]
VS Penguin Pride: 0 - 2 L, 2 - 11 L, 1 - 7 L
GTA Golden Eagles
Points: 10
Games Remaining: 1
The GTA Golden Eagles currently sit in the 4th and final
Division B playoff spot. They lead 5th place New York Haxball
Club by 6 points. However, NYHC have 2 games left, exactly
enough to get 6 points. Both GTA and NYHC hold their playoff
hopes in their hands. GTA need only 1 point to clinch, or to
have NYHC lose a game or go into overtime. However NYHC do not
play either of the top 2 teams in the Division. GTA can put
themselves into the playoffs by either defeating NYHC or by
simply pushing them into overtime.
Potential Playoff Matchups:
VS Cuba Cyclones: 0 - 1 L, 4 - 3 W, 1 - 7 L
VS New York Haxball Club: 3 - 0 W [F], 3 - 0 W [F]
VS Night Hawks: 1 - 2 L, 3 - 4 OTL, 1 - 6 L
VS Penguin Pride: 2 - 5 L, 1 - 5 L, 1 - 3 L
New York Haxball Club
Points: 4
Games Remaining: 2
NYHC has 2 games left and are 6 points behind GTA for the final
playoff spot. Should they tie in points, NYHC will win as they
have a better goal differential. NYHC hold their fate in their
hands, and they if they win both their remaining 2 games in
regulation, they will enter the playoffs and play either the
Cuba Cyclones or the Penguin Pride in the opening round. Only
time will tell if new Owner and GM Ariana Grande will be able to
revive this team and lead them to the playoffs. Their chances
are grim of making the playoffs, and even more so of causing an
upset in the first round against either the Cuba Cyclones or
Penguin Pride, but miracles do happen.

VS Cuba Cyclones: 7 - 1 W, 0 - 3 L [F], 0 - 3 L [F]

the first game u beat us 5-2 becuz there was me and 2 rookies
playing (mofo and jorty) so u won ez
The second and third game I wasn't there cuz >my computer
exploded
Because in the short time I was gm of UT I sent barca down
(huehuehuehue) we will be a tougher opponent
