Team Name Changes

I dont know how many of you know what is happening in SPHB, but
for those of you who dont, let me tell you.
the GM of the Manic Pixie Dream Girls team decided to change the
team name to Zyklon Bees. Zyklon B is the name of the gas that
the Nazis used to murder millions of people in World War 2.
Names like that WILL NOT be accepted in the Haxball Club
Divisionals. Any names that I or any HCD Staff member consider
to be insulting, offensive or disrespectful will be changed
IMMEDIATELY and be renamed to and old HCD team name (Ex:
Mandarin Mandibles, Trouble Makers, Toronto Raiders, etc)
As well, any GM / Owner who suggests the name change may be
subject to supplementary discipline.
this league is to remain a fun place for haxball players to
enjoy playing in organized games and tournaments without feeling
offended or insulted. If anybody is feeling that way at any
time, send me a PM and I will look into it.

[/quote]Taking a pervious name can result in law if you don't
own it. Remember, the last time Apple took the thing we used
here. He didn't own it nor have permission to use it. If this
happens in Division B I will not allow it because this is law if
you don't own the name.

it would only be a temporary name until a more suitable
replacement would be found

let me rephrase what I said: if a significant percent of the
league finds a name offensive, then the HCD Staff will decide on
whether or not the name shall be changed. The HCD Staff will
decide via a poll in the Staff Forum - depending on the number
of staff I may or may not cast a vote (it depends on whether we
have an even or an odd number of staff)
I'm not giving a specific number, but if i receive numerous
complaints about an offensive part of the league, things will be
done to make it less offensive

This is a dumb argument. How about we just say that the league
will not permit team names that contain racism, antisemitism,
sexism, or other slurs (i.e. swears)?

if it contains any of those things, then the name change would
be rejected - im only saying this for the names that are less
offensive but still offend part of the league
basically, all of what i said can be prevented if the HCD Staff
reject all offensive names
