Making a promise (April Read)

After trying to have a relaxing night at home with April the
phone rings and Joe answers lookin at her a minute then hangs
up. After letting her know he would be back later and shes
free to stay he heads out going to the arena and having a
match as a surprise forth man in the match. Winning the HBPW
world title and being hurt along the way. after being checked
out only having a dislocated rib. He calls back to his house
and leaves a message making a couple stops and gets back home
walking in behind the couch as she watches a movie and he
stands leaning on the back of the couch watching tv as well
for a minute or two. With the house being dark and a dark
spot of the movie he puts a hand on her shoulder making her
jump and laughs as he pauses the movie and reaches over
turning the light on standing back where he was.
Joe: First off your easy to make jump just found that out.
Second if your hungry I stopped on the way back and picked
something up nothing fancy but fast since its late im not a
romantic in any state of mind trust me on that much. I try at
times but when your damn near fighting to keep air in and
hurtin you don't feel like being the loving romantic type. So
ill grab the drinks and ill be back in just no flying to the
ceiling I don't feel like waiting for you to come down to
talk and hang out.
He laughs and leans over giving her a kiss before walking in
the other room for a few seconds and stands thinking aboput
what hes gonna do. He finally gets them a drink and walks back
in handing it to her and sits by her. After their done he
walks over and finds another movie and puts it in watching it
with her. He finally gets situated enough and keeps her
close watching it and reaches back with his free hand getting
in his jacket pocket and takes something out still thinking
about something. He puts the movie on pause again and stays
quiet and looks at her.
Joe: You know I kinda like havin you around already. Listen im
not good woth words and its not what you might think in this
short time so I wont make a promise that can or cant be kept.
But I can make one I know ill always mean. Actually you know
what screw it im gonna make it something and a promise I
intend to keep.
He hands her a box and lays his head back a second looking
at the ceiling before looking back at her.
Joe: Listen I know its not that long usually takes to long
and by the time it gets to that point things change for people
and it never works. So after the shopw I stopped and got you
that won the belt and got paid spent most of it on that for
you. You don't have to take it as more right now if you don't
wanna . Im gonna make a promise though and I mean this now
quick or not I wanna stay with you not just now I mean as
long as you wanna im not aking the big thing now
He laughs and looks at her.
Joe: But im making a promise to be true for good. Unless your
as crazy as I am and say work it as it goes and learn as you
go. That's how I am at times or if you say you would wanna
make it that way.I don't care about the soon or time thing
its about now not later right?
He looks at her[/center]

She was totally surprised and smiles as she looks at Joe. Tears
started to fall down her face.
April: Oh Joe Joe... I love you. Wow, I can't believe you went
out of your way to do this. Oh wow. I love it. I love you. I
want to be with you. I don't want anyone else. That is my
promise. No one could ever take your place.
She hugs Joe.
April: Don't ever doubt that. NO one can take me from my big
teddy bear.
She looks down.
April: I want to spend the rest of my life with you baby.

He kinda smiles and gets to thinking a bit more.
Joe: I aint the easiest guy to get along with or live with
among other things. But I always mean what I say I don't plan
on goin anywhere anytime soon and I know the time factor is
pretty short but when you know then you know. I don't just say
it to anyone I care a lot and yeah I do love you might of
been a joke I posted on twitter not long ago but I do
honestly so if you wanna go that way then what better way than
to do it the right way instead of just handing it let me do
this the right way.
He stands for a second before taking the ring and gets on a
knee kinda lookin at the floor then at her
Joe: I honestly cant believe im doing this again said I
wouldn't.
He laughs a little and looks at her
Joe: I believe if its gonna be done then it should be done the
proper way. So since you pretty much said it ill do it the way
every girl should have it done and ask the right way. You
wanna do this then its a done deal already. But officially
instead of just handing it to you will you give me a chance
at that way of life again im not always gonna be home do to
house shows and stuff but im gonna always be by your side
when needed and make this the ebst way possible for you as
well by doing all this the right way so will you marry me?

He looks at her and puts the ring on before standing and gives
her a hug tryin not to laugh.
Joe: Relax I didn't mean to catch you by surprise or anything
well at least that much. Im sorry ..
He looks at her and smiles
Joe: So what do you wanna do? I gotta hit the road in the
morning but im good for now. So you tell me[/center]

Joe: Before usually nothing .. Im a boring guy all around im
just a home guy I guess. But im known to have a little fun
sometimes.
He laughs.
Joe: No really I do whatever can be fun or just relax its all
good with me. Gonna suck being on the road but time goes fast
when you don't think about it. So its up to you on what you
would like to do.
im gonna leave that up to you.
He looks at the time
Joe: Im beat up now ill be beat up on the road which is nothing
new so while im half way good and in good shape might as well
name something.
He looks back at her
Joe: Besides on the road I gotta deal with the boys and im
sure Aj's brother wont leave me alone now or Punk so I could
go with the boys tonight and go out awhile but I can also skip
that and hang here at home and spending some down time or
whatever you got in mind. Trust me the guys aint as cute so
they can wait for me

Joe: You think you can handle a night in with me?
He laughs
Joe: That's always nice to know you think you can handle it. I
mean if you knew it would be different but you think then
that's a step forward.
He kinda gets a cocky grin and looks back at the time
Joe: Do you think you can handle hangin out or or anything
else or do you gotta think about that? Cause its whatever you
can handle I don't mind. I mean whatever you think you can
handle is good I wont complain cause I wouldn't want you to
think to hard
He looks at her
Joe: Im jokin with ya its cool im willing to do anything as
long as it doesn't have to deal with thinking about anything.
And you know when I am gone ill probably be callin before or
after a show not during cause I would hate to have to tell the
guy in the ring to hold on I gotta make a call. And I don't
know what im on tonight I haven't been drinkin so that aint
it im just in a good mood a very rare thing for me. So its
your call you tell me what you wanna do and ill go with
it[/center]
