accident. His plumbing is working & PT went well. His spirits
are high and everyone is feeling joyful. The captain of the
Minnesota Wild stopped by his room and gave him an autographed

sending it for complete healing. Hugs & thanks from LT”

Been a few days since we had an update. I'm very much hoping
that's because everything is going well and people are sleeping
and working and spending time with D.

       Here's the update:
"He’s doing remarkably well. He’s doing a great job with PT.
He’s walking short hallways under his own power. It’s
exhausting and he needs a wheelchair ride back to his room but
is adding distance with each trip. He’s still experiencing
weakness on his left side but has improvement daily. His
appetite is back and they’re trying to add back the 20 lbs lost.
All of his doctors are meeting on Tuesday to talk about a
discharge date and care going forward. It tentatively sounds
like he’ll have intensive outpatient PT for the next 4-6 months
and then it will taper off after that. Doctors think he will
make a COMPLETE recovery in a year. That is a miracle!
Thanks to everyone for past, present & future mojo for D and the
extended family. I still get weepy with gratitude. You people
       are the best."
       My heart is warmed.

I am so happy to hear of the outlook for a complete recovery! I
know there's still a long slog ahead, so this batch of mojo is
for patience and progress and that outlook to be fulfilled.

       Oh, this is fabulous!
I'm a fervent believer in PT and I'm sure it will help him.
Losing 20 pounds in what? two weeks? is drastic, poor kid. Doc
Ginger prescribes milk shakes and steaks.
       More mojo inbound:

That's really great! I'd like to take most of the credit since
my mojo didn't have to travel very far but that wouldn't be
true. I suspect a determined kid did a lot of this on his own
and we just helped a bit.

Reading this update choked me up. I am so pleased D is doing so
well and is expected to fully recover. I will keep the mojo
coming for all of you guys! I can't dance like this, but in my
head the mental happy dance I am doing looks something like
       this:

I hope LT is recovering from this trauma well too. Maybe we can
get an update on LT, if/when she feels up to it?

       Newest update:
D is going home on Thursday! He will have been in the hospital
just short of a month. He’ll have intensive PT and visiting
nurses at home. He hasn’t started tutoring yet but hopefully
that piece will be added in soon. Please keep that mojo coming
as the road ahead still has a lot of challenges. By the way, he
is sleeping comfortably all night long now…so happy for that.
       Thank you kind people!
