Dear Cat,
I have lovingly provided you with various toys made especially
for chewy cats, yet my sandals are still your preferred chew
toys. While I appreciate that you do not chew on my sandals
while they are on my feet, I am at the end of my rope and must
halt all hanging out inside the closet privileges by child
proofing the doors. Your lack of opposable thumbs will prevent
you from gaining access to the closet. I fear this will offend
you greatly but you have left me no other choice. Unfortunately
my sandal budget it limited.
Regretfully,
Your housekeeper

Dear ingrates (yes...you two),
Are you at all aware of the lengths I go to in order to ensure
you have fresh food and water, special treats, cat toys, the
special place on the bed, a cat door so you can enjoy the
beautiful outdoors on our balcony at your pleasure and most
importantly a clean litter box?
And yet you, Sasha, prefer the water in the fish tank over the
clean dish of water not 6 inches away. And Coco you are
completely inexplicable. I clean that litter box once a
day...religiously. Why on earth do you insist on occasionally
pooping right outside.... Less than 2 inches from it? And don't
even try to tell me its because its diirty. You have literally
done it minutes after I've cleaned it.
I can only conclude that you two can't appreciate everything I
do for you. I may just have to go on strike. See how you like
that!!
Underapreciated and overworked peon.

Dear Cat,
Yes, I know. It's morning and your dish is empty.
I have noticed that you become extremely charming at these
times.
It's working.

Dear (Little) Gerbil 🐭 :
I know youre cute and petite and can fit inside your food dish.
That said, when you sit in your food dish, youre sitting on top
of your food.
The food that you eat.
You know that, right ?
Hey, I was just asking. You do you.
Love,
The Hand That Feeds You

dear kitteh,
Not every day is your spa day...

I just post this wondering if most cats would take flight with
the water running, but not this one?

A stray cat moved into my house many years ago. She was not the
least bit hydrophobic. I had a 110 gallon freshwater aquarium
that housed a large predatory fish. I provided said fish with 4
dozen large minnows per week. This cat would sit on top of the
aquarium and get her "arm" in the water all the way to her
"armpit" to snag minnows. She ate about a half dozen minnows
per week.
I was a toddler so I mostly remember the stories and photos, but
we had a cat that got in the bathtub with me and my sister up
until the water was at belly level then he was out of there. He
was a big and wide faced short haired orange tabby named Tom. I
am still partial to cats that fit that description.

I had to look twice to be sure that wasn't our bathroom and our
cat. Our big tabby used to lie in the sink like that. You had to
turn he water on pretty high before he would move.
