       Dear Cat,
I know you love riding on my shoulder but for love of God please
don't leap from the ground unto my bare back when the mood
strikes you and then get miffed when my ear piercing screams
       startle you.
I assure you that I was considerably more miffed and startled by
       the chain of events.
You loving chauffeur when fully clothed

       Dear Cat,
Thank you for not eating the spider plant. We finally have a
plant with complete leaves since Harmony passed and nobody else
was interested in snacking on it and subsequently puking it up
       on the floor.
But you do understand that sleeping on it is also not very good
       for it....right?
The spider plant thinks the lilac tree is a more suitable
location for you afternoon naps and has provided the following
documentation to remind you which one is the lilac bush.
       Your local spider plant advocate.[attachimg=1]

Yes, that is my duffle bag
No, you do not like the car.

Random internet twitter pic I think dreamworks might have a
problem with, because it's much better than the Shrek version.

       Dear Cat,
I know you believe you want to stow away in my suitcase, but I
feel certain you would not enjoy the six hour flight in there.
Yes, I must leave you home with another housekeeper for a few
days and that is unacceptable (even though you love the other
housekeeper), but I am fully prepared to atone for this
egregious wrong immediately upon my return.
       Sincerely,
       Your (regular) housekeeper

Will that atonement start before or after cat stops snubbing
you? Frankie used to ignore me for 12 to 24 hours after I
returned to show her displeasure and make sure I was keenly
aware of the terrible wrong I had inflicted upon her person.

Of course I was snubbed! The length of time I was snubbed was
absolutely related to how many days I was absent. A one week
absence required a one day snub, but anything more than a week
the snub lasted an hour at best. I chose to believe she missed
me too much to truly snub me if I was absent for more than a
week. Damn I miss that little beastie.
The current beastie is always glad I have returned, but there is
no big show of affection. Just, "Oh, there you are! I've been
       looking all over for you."

Perhaps the cat believes you were eaten by predators after X
days. So the snubbage-period varies by individual feline and
       poop-scooper.

For all of our cats, I could go out of town and when I came
back, it was like oh, you're back. But if my husband went with
me, you would have thought they'd been left alone with no food
and water by what they had to say. Except for one. He'd walk to
the middle of the living room when we came in, look at us, and
turn around and sit down with his back towards us. He was fine
after an hour or so, but he definitely wanted us to know it was
not acceptable for my husband to leave. P.S. Cat sitter is an
animal lover who over pets, plays, feeds and treats cats.

Dear Cats (and your respective humans),
I just stumbled onto this thread this morning. It is absolutely
       brilliant.
But you already knew that, seeing how amazing all you geniuses
       are.
       More, please ?
       Signed,
       A Groupie =^..^=
