This is Mr. Alex! He's 12 years old, and is having a few
age-related issues lately, but we're continuing to spoil him as
much as we can. He is sunsetting at night, and not as active
during the day, but he used to love playing soccer with us and
would head the ball when we kicked it to him.

I asked my vet about sundowning, and after a 3 week literature
search, she said that she couldn't find anything about it. She
suggested that it might be some kind of pain. With Ziva, we
started talking about it right after an annual checkup where the
vet did a lot of physical manipulation of the dog and didn't get
any pain responses.
Anyway, clumsy as I'm being describing it, she thinks Ziva just
has some kind of pain. She put her on gabapentin and rovera, and
it seems to help a lot.
