The school system here actually recognizes it and they are off
       today. Enjoy

I eat gluten free pasta, so this is interesting. But $10.00 for
9 ounces is too steep for my budget for everyday meals. I will
file this idea away for special occasions when I may want a
better substitute for glutenous pasta. I make do with Jovial
organic gluten free brown rice vermicelli at $3.99 for 12 ounces
(when on sale). It has a good flavor and it is closer to
regular pasta texture than the other brown rice pastas I have
       tried (not mushy or gummy).

Thetis - I see the heart of palm pasta is $10 on Amazon but in
the store it's $2.99 a box. Not sure if you have a store near
you, though. I buy it at our local store. Totally agree $10 is
way too much for regular eating.

Wow, that's quite a difference. Thanks for letting me know. I
saw Wal Mart also had it at $10.00. No, I don't have a Trader
Joe's nearby but I can check my local health food store and
online to look for a different brand of hearts of palm pasta. I
tried so many a few years ago and settled on Jovial then stopped
looking. I love to find new things I can eat now that I have
figured out how I need to eat. I should be able to eat this
       pasta without causing symptoms.

Used about 1/4 of my frozen stash of roasted hatch chiles to
       make this last night:

Really good, a nice light supper with a salad. We heated up some
link sausages for the kids and it was kind of breakfast for
       dinner.
I have another 1/4 of the chiles defrosted for something this
weekend. Maybe a pork chile verde. The forecast looks like fall
arrives next Thursday and I'm going to be all about some soups
       and stews.

Will be trying your recipe! This corn pudding recipe is very
good, just use half the butter and I use milk instead of cream.
       Good side dish for bbq's.

       Omelette au fromage.
No idea if there are any sides to go with that yet, but I will
       happily have just that. :D
