hmmmm. maybe not fully realized yet? Will go check out support
       forum today.

In case it helps to know this....the title for this thread was
highlighted before I read it, then changed afterward.
       [/quote]
No, that will always happen when there are posts in the thread
that you haven't read yet (as far as I can tell).
This seems like maybe something they're working on that would
format something as a reaction and thereby we could do the
"custom" reactions that we'd previously asked for.
It's the thing that looks like a thumb up on the toolbar now.
But doesn't seem to actually do anything yet.

It's not the normal highlighting, though--it's orange. Unless
it's a special highlight that always shows up in this area?
Anyway, I don't know what you're working on here, so carry on.
       😀

They finally announced it, I posted about it on thread of the
day - not what I thought it was. Le Sigh.
The orange is because the thread is "stickied" to the top.

I am all for posting whatever the hell you want in whatever way
       you choose.
That said, for those who wish to make this place nicer for the
gif-averse, this is a very nice way to hide them until someone
who wants to see them clicks.

Just an FYI. If you have trouble quoting someone and cannot get
your words separated, please count the number of opening and
       closing quotes.
Copying a closing quote so that you have 2 in a row works.
