I believe it is some type of possum but I am not certain. It

Maybe it's a cousin or something. This is a golden bushtail
possum, and it is just adorable!

Oh AWWWW. I wonder if it's a cross or just a puppy, never saw
one with round ears before.
True story: Mr. Hastings saw me checking out a cute corgi years
ago, and promptly went over to growl at it. Not very usual for
him to do. I told him not to be a jealous jerk.
So I'm on notice that he is not going to be happy if I get a
corgi with these little sawed-off legs, unlike his giraffee
legs... Even though they are often good hearing dogs. Maybe
the rodent vibe was strong.
Sigh. Unfortunately they do have herding drive and Mr. Hastings
would not tolerate that, most likely.
So I can just look at fluffy flower mouse and wish it was
compatible with my Northern Sled Kangaroo Gremlin. (Saying
something is not a dog it's ___ is part of the fun of DogRates.)
