We are suppose to have the first sub 70 high temp since Memorial
Day. Which is fine with me. I’m sitting here with a light
blanket on my legs and I love it!

I live in the DC burbs and the wild fires out west coast have
turned our recent sunsets red because the smoke gets trapped in
the atmosphere. So I cant even imagine what it's like living ca
2K miles closer to the fires ...

It really varies a lot. When we get wind out of the west, it's
off the Pacific and we don't get smoke even there's a fire just
100 miles north or south. Sometimes there's smoke all the way
from Siberia, but when that happens it's usually high elevation
and we can see the haze in the sky but not smell or taste it so
much.

Ugh! Just went for a two mile walk and had to wear a KN95 mask
the whole way. Definitely unhealthy in Seattle today.

Sigh. Hurricane Ian is misbehaving. As much as I want all of our
Florida peeps to be well, I also REALLY want Scritchy to be able
to get on the plane that he's supposed to be taking home on
Wednesday....
