I got about 6" at home (so far; it was still snowing when I
left), and no one had gotten near the interstate with a plow
yet. It took about double the normal time to get to work. Only
one accident I saw: a semi couldn't negotiate a ramp and
jackknifed.

294 was really not good, saw a camaro facing the wrong way, with
a nice dent, but nothing worse.

Here it's gonna rain on top of the snow and then turn to snow
and freeze hard, so that should be fun.

Here the rain is just now switching over. I'm terrified of black
ice.

Mom's lost power multiple times now. She canceled class
yesterday because of the ice. Moving from New England to
Tennessee, she stays off the roads if there's any winter
weather.

How's your mom doing now?
It's whiplash season here where one day it's sixty degrees and
the next it's five. Today it's eleven and I am ready for winter
to be over.

She lost a bunch of pine trees/limbs, but that's the norm
anytime there's any "weather." Fortunately, nothing took out any
fences. That's a bit more of a hassle. It's all sort of warm now
... maybe it will dry out enough she can plant a garden in May
(v. late June) this year?
