Fell asleep early last night, so I woke up early this morning.
It is -2 °C (28 °F) and we have ice fog. Ice fog, had to look
       that one up.
  HTML https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_fog
I'm happy I wore my warm pajamas and fuzzy socks.

I'd never heard of ice fog either. Must be one of the few cold
weather things we're missing here in Minnesota!
We've had a couple of days of beautiful winter wonderland here
(snow coating every branch of every tree, bush, garden plant).
It's been mild temps (highs around 32F) but it's getting colder.
We are expecting an overnight low of -16F Wednesday night and a
       high of -1F on Thursday.
       Brrr....

Well, the forecast here for Thursday is, well, something.
Blizzards aren't just at DQ I guess.

I had an absolutely bizarre dream the other night in which I
needed something at my neighbor's house in the middle of the
night. I went out the door on foot and immediately found myself
in snow well up past my waist. I had to fight through the
blizzard in my 'jammies in the pitch black and I remember
worrying that I wouldn't be able to see my neighbor's house
       through the snow.
Then I woke up. To rain. Phew!

If you're having a dream that you live in Buffalo, does that
mean you have a craving for wings?

Good news on the weather front here in Saint Paul - it's now
above zero and it's not snowing!
       Woot! Woot!
Modified to say that my dog would like to add that SOME of us
here have indoor bathrooms. Unfortunately, she doesn't. It was
a sad morning for her - took three tries to develop the courage
       to actually go outside.

Too effing cold already! It feels like 1°C (33 °F) now with
what feels like super dry air compared to the usual (93%
humidity this morning dropped to 64%).
I am already wearing the extra layer over the wool blend thermal
top, the puffiest teddy bear fleece pullover. The fleece lined
wool hat and hand warmers may be next. I am built for temperate
coastal winter, not real winter. The dry-ish air makes me feel
       so cold.
The chonky style cat is nice and toasty all stretched out in
front of the heater. She has been snoring for an hour.
       My forecast:
       Tonight
Increasing clouds, with a low around 21. Blustery, with an east
northeast wind 16 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph.
       Thursday
Snow likely, mainly after 4pm. Snow level rising to 1000 feet in
the afternoon. Cloudy, with a high near 29. Breezy, with an east
wind around 21 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of
precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half
       inch possible.
       Thursday Night
Snow and freezing rain likely before 7pm, then freezing rain.
Low around 24. Breezy, with an east southeast wind 14 to 21 mph,
with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

no new snow overnight, so what's left is nice and crunchy.
arterials have been plowed, but good luck with the last block or
       two.
       Colder tonight.

       Two positive thoughts:
Starting today, we start to gain more daylight.
Less than 90 days from now, it'll be the vernal equinox.

of storm damage, hopefully there won't be many days before
       problems are resolved.

and ice accumulations of 0.1 to 0.3 inches. Winds gusting as
       high as 35 mph.
       * WHERE...In Oregon, North Oregon Coast. In Washington, South
       Washington Coast.
       * WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 7 AM PST Friday. *
IMPACTS...Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the
ice. Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions could
impact the morning or evening commute.
       * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures appear most likely to warm
