Get Baked
By: Queenie Date: August 17, 2021, 11:44 am
---------------------------------------------------------
I'd like to see baking recipes grouped here? Maybe? Does
anyone have a recipe for pot brownies that didn't originate in
1972?
Here's my world famous peach cobbler. It has the feel of a
clafoutis almost, definitely my favorite cobbler ever and my
boys will fight you if you disagree:
Serves three hungry teen boys or six normal humans
[li]8X8 glass baking pan[/li]
[li]about a half stick of butter, maybe a little more[/li]
[li]brown sugar if you want an upside-down cake feel, about a
third of a cup[/li]
[li]Several perfectly ripe peaches. Three or four large?
Peeled and sliced, and doused with a little lemon juice to
prevent browning[/li]
[li]Sugar, flour and milk in a ratio of 1:1:1 For this size pan
about 2/3 cup of each[/li]
[li]Baking powder about a half teaspoon[/li]
[li]Vanilla if you like it, about a half teaspoon[/li]
[li]Cinnamon[/li]
In a hottish oven, 350-375, melt the butter in the bottom of the
baking dish. Add brown sugar if you like that.
Meanwhile, peel and slice the peaches. This recipe lives and
dies by the quality of the peaches, don't even bother if they
aren't fabulous. Add a little lemon to prevent browning.
In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and if desired,
cinnamon. Add the milk and vanilla if you like vanilla and
stir.
Remove the baking pan from the oven. Pour in the batter. Top
with peaches. If desired, sprinkle with cinnamon or
cinnamon-sugar.
Bake for way longer than you think, maybe almost an hour? Until
a toothpick inserted in the doughiest part of the topping comes
out clean, edges are puffed and golden brown, and the peachy
bits bubble throughout.
Serve warm, maybe with some kind of topping. My boys like ice
cream.
The beauty of this recipe is its easy scalability. Got a big
crowd? Stick with the ratios and you'll be fine. It's also
very forgiving, so if you have more peaches or more topping it
still comes out great.
OK your turn. What are your favorites?

Alton Brown's cocoa brownie recipe made with pot butter are
pretty outstanding in my opinion.

OK fine but how do you obtain pot butter? And if you make it
yourself how do you calibrate how much happy juice is in it?

The lack of calibration is part of the "fun." I had always
home-steeped (fat is a fabulous absorber of THC), but in states
where it's legal I bet you could find it at a dispensary.

I like my fun calibrated. Because I am a stick in the mud,
apparently. (Just ask my kids.) This is fine with me.
I was wondering if I could just put regular THC in them but
Oldest tells me that THC is only one part of the fun and I
should branch out.
I'm not sure I'm ready to branch out. My experiences with plain
unadulterated cannabis instead of nice, calibrated THC have been
. . . let's go with "unpleasant."

I use a herb vaporizer, and save the used stuff to make enhanced
butter.

My son’s advice is: Can you get bottles of CBD oil and THC oil?
If so, he puts in 10 drops from each bottle per 8”x8” pan, and
cuts it into 16 brownies. Be careful because of different
potencies. He’s using bottles that are 30 to 50 mg per ml.
