Hi! While I prefer the nested layout for comments, which I
believe Reddit uses, that format is best for me in the
never-gonna-happen scenario where I read through comments only
after they are all posted. With the haxnuts format, since the
updates are in order, I don't end up rereading any threads in
case I missed an update. I just remember the page and last
comment where I left off, and continue forward. It's like
reading a book. Yay!
I believe quite a few folks like sorting the Thread of the Day
by Newest comment first. I personally like Oldest first, since I
can jump to the right page number.
