I have to find the recipe for the Evil Chocolate Thingies.
These are a bar cookie that I made for someone, and they were
awful and evil because you cannot just eat one and I did not
send nearly enough of them, excuse you!

Just jumping in here. I bake for therapy and have lots and lots
of cookie and dessert recipes going back to my great great
grandmothers. We are a baking family adn we had homemade dessert
4/7 nights at dinner when I was a kid. This is one of my
favorites (fantastic when dunked in coffee). It is from my great
       grandmother on my mom’s side.
       Butterscotch Cookies
Preheat oven to 350° makes about 2 dozen
       1 c brown sugar
       1 egg
1/2 c lard (no lard for me, so the butter equivalent is 1/2 c +
       2 TBLS)
       1/2 tsp baking soda
       2 c AP flour
Mix butter and sugar, add egg
Sift soda and flour together and add
Drop by teaspoon onto a parchment lined tray
Bake about 10-12 mins. Ok, I do not time exactly when I bake. I
set the timer for the minimum and eyeball it.

I have to variously dig up/find my recipes, but here are a
       couple of my family's classics:
  HTML https://sites.google.com/view/heymouxcookbook/grandmas-spritz-cookies
  HTML https://sites.google.com/view/heymouxcookbook/chocolate-cranberry-chunkies
  HTML https://sites.google.com/view/heymouxcookbook/apricot-squares
And this sucker is SO finicky and SO much work and I have never
made it, but it was my sister's special recipe for many many
years and I can attest that they were amazing, worth all the
work, and if a tray of them appeared in front of me, I would eat
the entire tray. In fact, I would eat two entire trays of them
and still be looking for more. As I recall, you can also stick
them in the freezer immediately after filling and preserve them
       that way.

The Grandma Spritz is basically my go to cookie. Except my
recipe calls for 1/2 tsp vanilla and a pinch of salt. I have at
times left out the salt. I also brush on a confectioner's sugar
       glaze and dot with springles.

Well it's officially both of your fault that I bought a cookie
press today. Spritzes are being added to the December baking
       therapy regimen.
