We've had a lot of discussions about that these past few years.
Being amongst strangers largely in places where masks are
required, or even where masks aren't required but it's less
populated, is somehow less stressful than being near the MIL/FIL
who have a revolving front door of conservative visitors, dinner
parties, etc.
I expected flying in May was going to be awful. It was
stressful, but that wasn't because of my fellow travelers.

Great, just great. Ive got two days left.
Scheduled my booster, and the flu shot for the day after I’m 50.

Heh. This might be more reassuring.

We have adjusted again. No holiday party again this year. But
we scheduled a short 4 night vacation starting the 26th.
Unfortunately it is in major Trump haven, a town we used to live
in, in the Florida panhandle.
We debated going, but since I have to travel and meet with, and
dine with, plenty of unvaccinated people for work, every week,
it’s really hard to not travel for fun.
We just had a sales meeting a couple weeks ago, for no reason
other than the company would lose their deposit if it wasn’t
held by the end of the year. Oh and the manager and owner missed
us all, they wanted to get together for I have no idea reasons.
My parents, my mum is diabetic, and has a nasty auto immune
disease, but since she is cruising at least once a month since
mid summer, I refuse to worry about her. She came in to visit
last weekend, for a birthday dinner, and came straight from her
latest cruise. At least she is boosted.
My dad, he only got the first shot - I don’t know why. Most
likely due to my stepmother. Again I refuse to worry about
people who refuse basics.
When you all talk about COVID stuff, I just read in wonder.
Here, nope no COVID, no masking, no distancing, nothing. It’s
pretty much like it never happened except when they want to
complain about Biden.
I admit I rarely mask anymore. If people at a place are
actually wearing masks, I put mine on. If the workers are not,
then I don’t.

Thanks. That’s actually pretty decent.
I was being a bit tongue in cheek. 😂
Honestly going on two years of this now, considering where I
live, considering my travel for work, considering my customer
base (majority anti vax) I’d be shocked if I haven’t been
exposed/caught it already.

I know you were teasing.
With any luck you've been repeatedly exposed and have therefore
boosted your immunity many times. Perhaps you are invincible!
I made that up.

I know that everyone has a favorite vendor for things like masks
and gloves, etc.
For those of us not in the healthcare field, I saw a site
written up on the WaPo. It's called the "KN95 Project" and they
sell verified KN95 masks and other equipment (like gloves, face
shields, etc). Some other sites get spotty, and thought this
might be of use. :)
I've been pleased with their service, but check it out yourself.

This reminds me of something I saw a couple days ago at the
store. A very elderly man was wearing a KN95, down around his
chin. Not even covering his mouth let alone his nose.
