Cancelled my NYT subscription as price went up to almost $20/mo.
Yikes! They tried to lure me at $1/wk for a year, but I
declined, as have plenty of news sources as is. BUT I kept
games, incl. spelling bee, as am an addict, and at 19.97/year,
well worth it to me.

I'm going to "cancel" my NYT subscription tomorrow to get the
$1/wk deal.
It's been creeping up too much, but there are still a lot of
articles on it that I enjoy.
I'm an addict of Spelling Bee as well, and also Vertex (although
that doesn't feel very challenging any longer)

"WAPO" is a (fake) word today. Just sayin'.
Only one pangram again.

I couldn't get yesterday's pangram, which is really unusual for
me, but me unicorn took a wander and found it. :)
Haven't found today's yet either, but I was busy running to BJ's
to do the grocery shopping that was supposed to be done on
Sunday... lol.

I didn't find yesterday's on my own, either. And then said,
"Duh!" when I looked it up.

As someone who doesn't pay for the games, I am often limited to
finding (if possible) one word starting with each letter plus a
pangram or two. I also find great satisfaction in coming up
with relatively long words that are real but not allowed
(usually because they are technical). Today was a good day --
muriatic and urticaria were both not allowed.
If there were one temptation to pay for the games it might be
Letter Boxed. Occasionally they let you play that for free, and
I enjoy the challenge of finding the two-word combo that uses
all the letters. But it requires somewhat deeper analysis than
the Bee, so I am not always in the mood to expend that much
mental energy. Also, I'm not sure it would maintain its appeal
if I played regularly.

Today's print edition Bee. Note that the words must include at
least 5 letters, not 4.
