Dear Self,
Remember that 2.5 gallon container of water you bought last Sep
at the start of hurricane season? The one that sat quietly
untouched on your basement work bench for 12+months?
Well, guess what somehow emptied and drained all 2.5 gal of
water : all over the wood bench; the floor; the Orange rug
(that then stained the concrete floor orange); and soaked every
thing it touched.
Go ahead, take one guess (I'll wait)...
Next time, build a bigger Ark.

Daer Self,
It took forever driving one way because of the power failure and
off traffic light.
So maybe try a route home that doesn't go through the same
intersection?

Dear 1500# behemoth (aka the horse),
Please pay attention to your surroundings. You can’t go bouncing
off walls, fences, trees, horses, and humans without
repercussion.
Also, my foot did not appreciate your heavy hoofed attempt at a
pedicure.
I know you have the ability to be gentle — you very carefully
licked my shoulder and hair tonight, and delicately plucked
cookies from all the spots I hid them to keep you entertained
while I shaved your big belly — maybe try applying that to the
rest of your life? 🤨
Signed,
One big bruise

Dear Self,
When setting a ceramic mug on the end table after taking a sip
of chai, maybe make sure there is actually table underneath?
This is the second time in a week you gracefully extended your
arm and gently set a cup down ⬇️
on airspace

two feet above the wood floor.
But congratulations on getting the Universe, yet again, to
protect your breakables.
Sincerely,
Your better half and your lazier half (neither of us likes
cleaning up after you)

Dear Self,
I get that you have a tender heart and it occasionally makes you
do stupid crap but this takes the cake.
Was it really so upsetting to kill that silver dollar that you
accidentally threw it in the toilet and flushed it rather than
throw it in the garbage like planned. You suspected this fish
might plug the toilet which is why you were thinking garbage.
Its actually still unclear if its partially plugged or not
because of the existing problem that you procrastinated on
fixing. Well now the original problem will be getting fixed.
And we'll find out how much MORE that plumber will cost you
tomorrow due to said fish. On the funny side... How often do
get to text a plumber saying "I'm the one with the fish in the
toilet"
Your rational side

Fish did not plug toilet. So I feel less like an idiot than I
did 2 seconds after I pushed the lever. Plumber fixed problem
with the water....debris in intake/filler dohickie...and toilet
flushes properly after months of procrastination on solving
problem.
