This reminds me of when I ordered a NIST standard that was
backordered. 3 years (!) later they call me, and ask if I still
want it. Of course I still want it!

The thing where I have to shop around has gotten much worse, I
find. I used to be able to get everything at one grocery store,
but now one store has simply stopped stocking one item, another
has stopped stocking a completely different item, etc.
I did find the Mrs. Meyers concentrate at Whole Foods. I should
have thought of them first.
You know what else I just can't get anywhere? Raw frozen beef
knucklebones for the dog. Every now and again I'll see them and
buy out the store and then it's months before they come in again
anywhere.

I just ordered a 4-pack from Amazon, but it's weird AF that the
local markets don't have it. It's been about 2 months now....

Cat food. Specifically Natural Balance. DUck and Green Pea in
any size. You can buy all the rest of the flavours just about
anywhere.
I tried my usual store. Out. I tried ordering from Amazon.
Never arrived. PetCo was completely out locally. I finally
found it at the second Petsmart. I bought 2 out of the 3 5lb
bags available. At the time I thought I might be getting the
missing Amazon order but they wanted to provide a refund. So
I'm good for 2 months or so.
But every time I go out for my monthly run something is missing.
Lime juice has been a tough one if you are looking for the big
bottles. Sometimes we go without whatever I can't find. Other
times I substitute which ends up driving up the grocery bill.

Halle-freaking-lujah, the pet store FINALLY had some (just a
little) of the special diet pet food. Not in his majesty's
preferred flavor. But for the next 18 days, the Facebiter will
be eating appropriately for his dietary needs.

Nope, not every market in AZ. :) The couple of main stores I
went to, including my go-to grocery store, a Kroger affiliate.
In different locations. With gas so pricey, I just decided the
Amazon option was far cheaper and less time consuming.

The kind of laundry detergent I prefer. The Local Grocery has a
lot of other kinds and other brands -- i.e. the stinky stuff --
but not the fragrance-free variety.
Could be I showed up right after everyone did their week's
shopping. I'll have to go back on a Tuesday or something, to
see if they've gotten any more in.
I haven't found a lot of blank shelves when I go to the store,
or at least not a lot of blank shelves that USUALLY hold what
I'm trying to find. I have noticed some empty canned-cat-food
shelves, but I don't feed The Evil Stranger Kitty canned foods
so it's not something I experience as being an issue.

Dried apricots.
I make granola bars and yes, I can use any fruits, but apricots
are pretty. And tasty.
