According to next door....produce and meat sections are empty.
Pictures being posted of a long row of shelves cleaned out. It
looks like the paper product shelves of 2 years ago. This is
hit and miss. One store might be fine and another store empty.
Reasons include our snow storms and warehouse workers being
taken out of work by omicron so trucks arent getting in to
restock shelves.
I shop once a month at three different stores. I think
beginning of Jan is one of the few months that every store
looked stocked. Usually one of them has a set of basically
empty shelves somewhere. Correction... Safeway had empty juice
shelves which I did attribute to the weather.

Pet food shortages are definitely A Thing. My cat has had very
bad reactions to food swaps in the past (like ER visit bad), so
I find myself praying every time I pull into the pet store
parking lot that they'll have one of the two brands I know he
can stomach.

Try Petsmart or direct from the petfood companies-- and I agree
your husband should do the dog food shopping. I also think dogs
should have at least 2 different kind of dog foods they can eat
in case there's a recall on one.
One dog food I wanted to order from ProPlanVetDirect was out
(cheaper than the rx dog food I buy there) for a week, so I
could not order it with the other dog food I was ordering for
before my surgery. and I wound up ordering it from Amazon a
couple weeks later and having a neighbor help me get it in the
house instead. So far this new dog food for sensitive skin which
is minus ingredients that I know do not work well for him does
seem to work OK.

Canned and pouched catfood is hit and miss. Pillsbury grande
cinnamon rolls...thankfully.

I'm here to report that parsnips are still a figment of my
imagination. Along with lettuce (sorry, sweet piggies!), and
Brussels sprouts.

I haven't see concentrated Mrs. Meyers cleaner since before the
pandemic.

Heddy, How do you cook the Brussels sprouts? I've learned to
like them, but only get them when the pre-sliced packages are
marked down.

I'm not Heddy, but one way I like the sliced ones is lightly
sauteed in olive oil with a little garlic then finished with
lemon and a very little bit of mint. Garnish if desired with
either toasted nuts of choice or pomegranate seeds or both.

How long do you share them for? I've wanted to try this but
uncertain how to get started.
