Oddly enough my municipality stopped accepting glass to recycle
a couple months ago
(Yes I know its more complicated than that, it's just
interesting to me that now our densely populated area will
mostly be putting it in the trash)

I keep reading about the cream cheese shortage but I bought some
for the Christmas cheesecake with no trouble, and yesterday I
bought more for my chili. The selection was nearly endless.
Mr Q's favorite yogurt, that is Fage unflavored 2% fat, has been
devilishly difficult to source, and I had to go to five stores
to find Q-tips. Also, weirdly, when I dropped by the store
yesterday they were out of about half the usual kinds of milk.

The news did say that many dairy farms here had been affected by
the flooding a few weeks ago - many cows killed either directly
or indirectly. But I don't know what would be causing shortages
for you.

I couldn't get carrots (available when added to cart; not
delivered twice) or parsnips (not available at all) in our
grocery orders last week or this week. But I had no problem
getting vegan cream cheese.
The former is going to cause some consternation with my elder
mare. I've been away for too many days, so I need to worship at
the alter of her highness properly before being granted an
audience :D

Egg nog! I could not get egg nog when we ordered groceries!!!
This is unheard of, it is always available up until NYE. I will
have to try again, or resign myself to making my own after NYE,
but that won't be quite the same for me.
Also - the cough drops that Scritchy prefers, and well, rapid
at-home tests...
I do know that my company was able to get a bunch of shipping
space that hasn't been available and stuff that has been
sitting, produced, on a factory floor, is about to hit market,
which should hopefully ease places where there has been a
balancing of trying to keep just ahead of shortages of our
product and not always successful.

You can have mine. Oh, but I never buy egg nog.
So far, all I've been missing have been various kinds of candy.
It seems there's a nationwide shortage of peanut M&Ms.

Sterile cryovials, 2 mL, threaded cap with o-ring. Ordered in
early September. I hoped that might have been enough lead time
but it was not. I didn't get the PO as early as I hoped. I
wanted to order for December back in July. That may not have
made it in time either.

Shortages lately: Kvissle letter trays and Detolf glass display
cases from Ikea. When they run out, there is a glut of them on
Amazon from fucking scalpers charging 4 or 5 times retail price
for them.
