Trial switch from to new forum layout

My previous hesitation about this was that the quoted text was
too small and I would need to dig in to the style sheet again
and make it bigger. The platform creator/manager has made the
change across the whole platform. Please see here for what it
would look like. And otherwise poke around the Support site that
uses the CAF 2.0 theme.

The main difference to get used to is that most of the stuff
that is in the upper left under your user name now moves to a
drop-down menu under your username on the right in the CAF 2.0
theme.
If we vote to trial it, I would then poll again after the trial
period to see if we want to keep the switch or revert back to
what is now known as the "classic" theme.

Am I understanding that the change only affects mobile devices?

I'm seeing the text in posts as a larger font size and they wrap
correctly to fit the screen in portrait orientation.
However, there are other parts of the page (text says Activate
Account on one and Create Account on another) that are very much
oversized and can't be seen fully.
In landscape orientation, these extra boxes are in full view.
And because I have not seen these before and they seem to be
something called Believe Sport, I am very suspicious of them --
I am not going to the Next Step. I have never seen ads on the
previous view.
I won't set my vote yet, but I am not getting a favorable vibe.

The quotes text in blue or gray on a blue background are not
easy to read, at least to my (old) eyes. I just don’t like the
look nearly as well.

No, it would be for the whole forum, desktop as well as mobile.

You still would not see ads. We don't see ads here because we
pay the subscription not to. I don't see ads there because I
have an adblocker enabled.
The Create Account and Activate Account buttons are likely due
to your not having an account on the support forum. Your account
here is only good for THIS forum, not any other forum on the
createaforum platform including the support one.

Not crazy about the new layout. Seems a little drab, just
shades of middle blue. What's it trying to achieve?
