Music
I hesitate to suggest politics, but people might start such
topics and it'd be nice to have them all contained so the rest
of us could avoid it.
Hax column discussion? Or do you think people would be
completely abandoning the column?

Should there be a mixed bag forum for our lives? Or just a big
mixed bag forum for whatever doesn't fit elsewhere?

Hey, Ani ! Just wanted to say "Thank you !" for creating this -
I'm still navigating the new site, but I have my avatar done, so
that's a good start...
As far as suggestions for topics to post, I'm open to any and
all, but I also like the kind of free-form format we had at CH
where we jumped around from one subject to another.
Oh, but dogs ! And food !

How about a "Face Palm" topic? I borrowed this idea from a
weekly comedic podcast. They usually choose a person in the
news but they can choose anyone. In my mind this would be about
humor, irony, what frustrates people, things like that. The
things that make you want to face palm.

Here's what I'm thinking based on what's been suggested:
Forums:
• Thread of the Day - this would be the more organic mixed bag
kind of thing that happens on the column. Start each day with a
new thread as the day's comments/ongoing. Maybe start it off
with a link to the column?
• Mojo Requests/Updates - I think this would be useful,
especially for being able to follow and check back in.
• In the News - I think Politics will probably fall under this,
as part of anything that people want to post a link to.
• Fun & Games - how about this for the kind of humor stuff
that's been discussed? Can also have threads for the Spelling
Bee and Trivia in there.
• Food/Recipes - mostly, I think about this because I think it
would be good to have a place where recipes can be retrieved
from later on. So maybe there would be one overall food thread,
and people can post individual threads for recipes they want to
share. People can ask for recipe or menu suggestions, etc.
• Floofs (aka Pets). Self explanatory.
- Face Palm sounds like it could be interesting, but maybe let's
see based on what's posted under In the News and the Thread of
the Day if there's enough stuff to make it a separate category?
- And I'm thinking of a space where Ginger can post her Aviation
reports, VB can post house remodeling updates, stuff like
that... but I don't know what to call it? Good idea? Bad Idea?
Suggestions for a name?
