How is the household, reasonably serene? Have the ACL cats met
       Susie yet?

Not serene yet. We had a few decent moments between Sasha and
Susie, but also some hissing and swatting. Mia is scared and
       staying away.
Susie came downstairs twice- the second time it was dark and
Sasha took off after her, chased her back upstairs and under the
bed. Which was pretty amazing because she mostly avoids the
stairs as much as possible these days. I suspect that Sasha just
saw an unfamiliar shape/movement and was defending us, and after
that was when Susie started hissing. Before that she would try
to approach Sasha like “yay! A friend!”
Now Susie stays upstairs. Sasha and Mia are mostly downstairs.
Sigh. Still, it hasn’t really been that long. We brought her
       home the evening of 2/1.
Also, I think Sasha prefers male cats. What a flirt.

Susie had a quick follow up check up with the shelter vet this
       morning. Her health is good.
Had a couple calm moments between her and Sasha, they were nose
to nose briefly this morning. Susie was in her doorway and Sasha
approached from another room. But then Mia came to the top of
the stairs and hissed and Susie retreated to her safe room.
Susie’s has two quirky, endearing, traits. She wags her tail
more like a dog than a cat. And she sticks her tongue out.

Sunday night was our one month anniversary of fostering Susie.
She spent a decent amount of time downstairs with us, wrapping
around my feet while I was cooking dinner. She’s been mostly
staying upstairs, and mostly in “her” room, even though the door
       is open.
She discovered the betta fish. And she’s getting more playful
       with toys.
Also, the shelter called on Friday for info in order to update
her adoption profile. I told them we were considering keeping
her, but needed more time to make sure the three of them get
along. We’re not there yet. Still some hissing, and Susie is the
main instigator. But we’ve also had some peaceful moments.

I’ve been trying to post a couple pics, but the site will only
allow me to post words right now. Hopefully I’ll get the pics
       loaded later.

You're making me want to get the Facebiter a fish, ACL. That
first photo is so freaking cute!
(I am not getting the Facebiter a fish.)

We affectionately call my aquarium "kitty TV". Hoshi in
particular is fascinated by it, but several of the girls will
sit on the back of the couch and stare at it from the other
       side.
