       The Toymakers

I just finished a great book, "The Toymakers" by Robert
       Dinsdale.
       From the Amazon description:
"It is 1917, and while war wages across Europe, in the heart of
London, there is a place of hope and enchantment.
The Emporium sells toys that capture the imagination of children
and adults alike: patchwork dogs that seem alive, toy boxes that
are bigger on the inside, soldiers that can fight battles of
their own. Into this family business comes young Cathy Wray,
running away from a shameful past. The Emporium takes her in,
makes her one of its own.
But Cathy is about to discover that the Emporium has secrets of
       its own..."
Liked it so much that when I finished the ebook, I ordered a
hard copy. I do that about once a year.

MW, this sounds fascinating, thanks for sharing!
I'm going to move it under "Entertainment" just because we would
like to keep the "General Discussion" for stuff that doesn't fit
into the other categories, unless there's a reason that you
think it should remain where it is?

No worries! I just didn't want to move it without saying
something, and leave you scratching your head. ;)

Mice do look adorable scratching their heads though.
I am going to add this to the wishlist.
