I love Mr Potato Head and I hope he finds a good home.
He used to come with a pipe, banned in 87. He also used to be a
real potato in the 50’s. There is a gender neutral version too.

We had one back in the 50s. I don’t recall if we needed a potato
or not, I think maybe we did.

Our UK friends sent me a Dalek potato head.
I see the RI representatives' point of view, but also that of
the food bank. Some people will still get the vanity plates
with a different design because they support the food bank
itself. Some have only chosen the plates for the potatohead and
       no longer will.

When I was a kid, we used real potatoes. Doubt my mom loved that
but she accommodated us anyway. Good memories.

We had Mr. Potato Head in the 50s, too. Definitely used real
       potatoes
since the sets we had then didn't include a body. Some parts
       like
eyelashes, mustaches and the whites of eyes were made of heavy
       felt,
       others were plastic.

I remember using a real potato. Kinda vaguely, but the memory is
       there.
