If you ever go to Santa Rosa, besides the museum, there are
large statues of all Peanuts characters in town, and the little
airport’s info booth looks like Lucy’s 5 cent advice booth. When
I visited a friend nearby and flew home, an elderly man was in
the booth with his grandson, who’d come to help on his 12th
birthday. I asked if I could snap a pic, and they tried to get
me to be in the booth but I declined. It was just such an old
       fashioned thing, I loved it.

I just love that entire album. Should put it in the Christmas
favorites. More than the Messiah even!

I was born and grew up in Santa Rosa. I was thrilled when I
learned Charles Schultz also lived there. I remember when the
ice rink was built with his name. I'll have to make a trip over
there to check it out. It's grown up a lot since I left in 76.
A few years ago my Oregon sister flew down and came in to the SR
Airport. That was an eye opener for me. It was not a commercial
airport like it is now. (I'm wondering if in another 50 years
the Nut Tree Airport will be as big.)
Thank you for sharing this. 😊

Hmm. Alaska Airlines flies a nonstrop from Seattle to Santa
Rosa. I could fly out of SeaTac at 10, rent a car in Santa
Rosa, and be in Mendocino in time for dinner! And not have to
       face Siskiyou Summit.
