This has been my favorite for many decades. I believe it was
also my FIL's favorite.
It's not the words I love so much, it is the E minor key, which
I think is so beautiful and haunting.

This isn’t the version I have but it’s close. Mine is just
Domingo without the chorus or Pavarotti. He sounds the same
though and gives me chills every time I listen.
In general I like choral music so any halfway decent chorus
doing traditional Christmas Carols will include favorites of
mine.

I was a big Monkees fan back in the day. I don't recall ever
hearing this kind of harmony from them. But as a teenager I
might not have appreciated that as much as their other music.
