It's published now. However, brick and mortar bookstores will
only have it by special order. All the online sellers have it.

Are there signed copies in a Bellingham bookstore? ;)

I am completely charmed and thank you for generously sharing the
pdf version! Now onto a personal hard copy. This brought such
happiness to read.

Looks cute. Look forward to reading it.
I had a cherished old book called Santa Mouse, inscribed by my
mother, and to my horror accidentally gave it away when I
intended to give out modern reprint copies; it got mixed up in
the stack. The friends whose children received it apparently
promptly put it right in the "donate" box (which was galling)
so it was irretrievable. That was about 15 years ago and it
still causes a pang.

Is below the Santa Mouse book you meant?! I had one as a little
kid ...AND I even had an adorable red/white dress with him on
the front!

I also somehow lost the original copy I grew up with, but my sis
gave me a new book maybe 10ish years ago (note: I havent been a
little kid in eons). So I bring it out every Xmas and read it:
It's still magical, even after all this time.

One of my very favorite parts of your story: the unexpected
hamsters cameo !
When I got to that scene, given that Haxville folks had long
called the Wapo invisible moderators "the hamsters," I couldnt
help but laugh to see they'd taken over the role of Santa's
reindeer ....

I accidentally put a whole set of Christmas German flats that I
had from my mother into a Salvation Army donation. Never saw
THAT again. I replaced them and then some, but I still wish I
hadn't done that.

Yes, that is the book. So sweet; love when he makes the present
for Santa. :)
I had our old original, with mom's writing in it, and had
purchased a stack of reprints to give out. My neighbor came by
and snow-blowered my driveway, near Christmas, and when thanking
him I handed him a "copy" (or so I thought) of the book for his
little boys. Not only was it the wrong one but I later learned
his wife "hates clutter" and promptly pitched it into a donate
box after the kids leafed through it once. Before I realized it
was the wrong copy I tore the house apart from attic to
basement.
Hope someone out there has it.
