Hands Down:
Open Water
I truly wanted that 90 minutes of my life back.

It was either Top Gun or the original Star Wars. Both make me
want to spew even to this day.
I know that's going to be an unpopular statement...

I used to have such a crush on Tom Cruise. That's back before
everyone knew how weird he was, and I was young and
impressionable back then.
I have no interest in seeing the new Top Gun movie.

Titanic, followed closely by Waterworld. The "new" King Kong
would probably be in third place, but we didn't see the whole
thing - hated it so much we walked out. If a movie in which
Adrien Brody goes shirtless can't hold my interest, you know the
script stinks, LOL.

Ugh Titanic.
I think the popular, Oscar-nominated/winning, bad movies annoy
me the most. I would add The English Patient and Crash to round
out my top 3. Though WaterWorld was also bad - many of Kevin's
movies are.

My mom had the best Titanic (the movie) shirt ever.
It sank. Get over it.
Never failed to get a laugh. And there was totally room for Jack
on that door!

I totally agree. And I’m a huge fan of Juliette Binoche.

I sat through Titanic and mumbled about how little sense the
story made throughout it.

Tough call. I'll say (as someone who absolutely loved the
re-release of the Fawcett Captain Marvel comics in the '70s)
that Shazam hurt my soul.
Funny, I just watched Shazam last night. Okay, I fell asleep
through the last 30 minutes, so will have to hold off on my
verdict. I used to watch the series in the 70s but never read
the comics. But I get where you're coming from.
Yeah, now when I hear the Ramones song that was abused in the
credits, I sing it as "When I see a film this bad, I just wanna
throw up."

Ha, exactly!
Heron, I hated the script, too - for one thing, Rose's knowledge
of literature and Freud. How would a very sheltered young woman
of that era have gotten access to those books? And given that
the true story of the ship and its passengers is so tragic and
poignant, why did we need a stupid romance at the forefront? If
you want to learn about the Titanic, read A Night to Remember.
It's very factual, but also tells some great personal stories.
FWIW, DH and I have a friend whose dad was close to Walter Lord,
the book's author.
