I'm going to see if any of the farms here deliver milk. If they
do, I have an antique milk box on my front porch (as well as a
large Borden milk can) for decoration, so it could come in handy
       again! LOL!
The last time we had milk delivery was when I was in 4th grade,
and the milk box I have on my front porch looks like the one we
       had then.

That’s about the same age for me. We didn’t have a milk box at
first and the milk was often frozen in the winter.

When I was young we had a milk box for deliveries also.
We lived across the street from a pond and once my brother and a
friend came into the house - and the friend was carrying a bag.
When my mom asked what was in the bag, he said frogs. So my mom
asked him to leave them outside. I assume he forgot about them
but they were discovered in our milk box when my dad saw it
moving down the sidewalk that evening.

When I lived in the UK in the mid 80s there was still milk
delivery. (And yes, the birds do peck holes in the tops of the
       bottles.)
