Very cool! I wonder what other symptoms/conditions this device
might have the potential to improve for people?
"The FDA just approved the SetPoint System, which electrically
stimulates the vagus nerve to control inflammation from the
chronic disease"

What great news that I haven't heard 'til now. I can't wait to
discuss it with my RA doc next month. I've been on
immunosuppressants for 16 years now and although I'm grateful
for them, I'd love to be able to leave them behind.

My maternal grandma had RA, and I really wish this implant was
around back in the 1990s and might have helped. I am sending
mojo to you for this implant to be something that has potential
to help!

I had an aunt with RA and long enough ago I don’t think there
were any real therapies for her. She was an amazing woman.
And if this can help for RA I bet it would show promise for
other auto immune diseases too.

I sincerely hope so! I have an auto immune disease as do many
of the people I'm close to - one of my sons, my favorite SIL, my
niece, my best friend, friend's daughter...I could go on and on.
Some of course have more than one auto immune disease since if
you have one you're more at risk of developing another.
