What a day. But I am glad that things seem generally positive,
boneheaded stubborn staff not withstanding. At least they were
good at the part they really really needed to be good at.

I'm so glad Lena is on the mend, at least enough to increase her
freedom a bit. Hope things get easier and easier and easier from
       here for you!

The silver lining to the seizure this morning is that she is
kind of stiff and sore this afternoon, so while she was glad to
be off the leash in the back, she only lopes along about a dozen
steps before she decides she's had enough "running" for the
       moment.
I did overlook one of Bess's balls, so Lena saw it before I did
and grabbed it. I let them do the prance beside each other
while Bess tries to snatch the ball from Lena game for a few
seconds before leashing Bess so Mr Tacha could try to get the
ball away from Lena. He accomplished it with the magic word
"Inside" and that ball hit the ground. Bess and I stayed out so
I could toss the ball for her and run the sprinkler over the
       newly seeded dirt patch.
It is nice that she can go into the back without a lead. It's
lovely to see her gallumphing along beside her sister before
they start to try to play too hard.

Aardtacha, late to comment but wanted you to know I feel for you
and Lena and rest of the family. So very hard to go through all
this, and for so long. Sending all the best from the PNW!
       Because I ❤️ 🐕 🐶! Yours are lucky
to have you. Get well soon, Lena.

Thanks, everyone, for the good wishes for Lena and the Tacha
       clan.
She was much less desperate to get out of her kennel this
morning, having been able to pace around in the larger kennel
last night. In fact, I've been up about an hour and she still
hasn't indicated she wants to go outside, even. Usually I'd be
getting the Darth Vader groans and pathetic whimpers while I fed
       the cats.

Balls have been tossed and frisbees have been chased. Neither
very far, but oh, does Lena look proud as she trots around with
a toy in her mouth! She's more willing to stop the game and
come in, but five minutes later she wants to go back out and
play some more. Our rule is she can play until she's panting a
little harder than her sister (because they go out and
immediately start to pant -- is very warm out), and then she
must stay in until her breathing has been normal for at least 20
       minutes.
We still get the occasional Darth Vader with asthma groans, but
       they are much less frequent.
Oddly, her appetite has dropped with more exercise. She was
probably doing a lot of boredom eating.

Please keep up the updates because I wonder about her, being my
       sort of namesake and all.

In from another romp out back. Lena is really only panting
about as hard as Bess, although she ran like a little loony for
a couple of minutes. Then she was happy to just trot about
carrying either the frisbee or the ball, whichever she'd managed
to snatch from the air or her sister's mouth between tosses.
She only got to chase something about six times, though.
Yesterday we weren't paying attention to how long the girls had
been playing and they tired themselves out so much that neither
woke for the 10 PM pill pocket (with anti-seizure meds in
Lena's). No apparent ill effects today, though. They both have
gotten out of shape in the last two and a half months.
