Aww, that’s so sweet!
Our first hamster was a bit like that- Sandy would snuggle into
Mr on the couch. If Mr moved, so as not to squish him, Sandy
would just snuggle back in. One time he escaped his habitat at
night and came over to Mr’s side of the bed. He was such a
sweetie. So cute and cuddly.
When he died we got another who was the polar opposite. She was
manic. Scared the cat the way she’d crash into her when running
in her ball. Stressed me out with her constant motion. Whereas
Sandy would relax in our hands, Pebbles was in constant motion,
and I was always afraid she’d just fall or jump out of my hands.

The one I had when I was a kid could escape her cage if I wasn't
super careful. I learned that the hard way when I had a very
rude awakening one night. She'd apparently gotten under the
covers with me and I rolled over so she bit my nipple. Yike!
And then there was the night my grandmother was sleeping in my
room and she escaped (Coffee, not Grandma). At least she didn't
bite G'ma, but I got an earful the next morning when G'ma
discovered the empty cage and couldn't find "that rodent". I
caught her in my closet a few hours later. Grandma decided
she'd rather sleep in my brother's room the rest of her visit,
anyway.
