       Mine is not very loud but she is very vocal.  She grumbles and
       mutters constantly and and she trills and chatters at the people
       and animals outside the windows.  She does meow occasionally,
       but quietly and minus the "ow".  She is among the cats who say
       "me" instead of  "meow".  ;)  My favorite vocalization is the
       pronouncing of snack time.  She naps next to me in true adjacent
       cat fashion (she is no lap cat).  When she wakes up she stands
       up and stretches fully, then trills as though to say, "snack
       time" and heads directly to her bowl for about four bites of dry
       food and a drink of cool water.

       Grumpy Sparky and Snippy Kali try not to notice that they're
       relaxing right next to one another...
