He's our giant grey meatloaf, 11 years old. He has three
housemates, to appear later...

I had one that looks a lot like that in my lap a bit ago. But
he's bigger 15 or 16 lbs.

Buzzy is over 20lb. I wasn't kidding about the meatloaf!

This is Sparky, Buzzy's partner in crime, older by one month.
He's slimmer, and demands treats in return for running on the
wheel.

Thank you! Of course we think so.
Here are the other two, Kali our ragdoll queen and Koyo her
playmate. She's three, he's two.

Koyo looks SO much like our long-departed weenie-cat (a-skeered
of just about everything), Piglet! Piglet was rescued at the
front door to my workplace and taken inside by my supervisor,
WAY back in 1982-ish, because my supe knew that I wouldn't be
able to resist taking him home. The poor kitten got to ride home
in my backpack, on the back of my motorcycle, because that's all
we had for transportation at the time. Quite an adventure, but
we made it through, and Pig was with us for 15 years and through
three moves.

Awww...
Koyo came up and adopted us about two years back. A grey and
white longhair we've seen around had escorted him to our front
porch, so that they could flip off our other three cats. We were
just getting home from work, and he came and asked to be picked
up, while his escort skedaddled. He looked to be *just* about
six months, clearly intact male, so we took him in, had him
checked for chips and got him fixed immediately before he
started habits he wouldn't give up. He's not scared of much.
He's made a bit of a play bond with Kali, who was rehomed to us
a year earlier than Koyo showed up, (and thus was about 7 years
younger than the grey boys).
They each have their own language.
Sparky meows.
Buzzy chitters.
Kali keens.
Koyo trills, and will run through the house talking to himself.

The Evil Stranger Kitty hums. He vocalizes but he usually
doesn't open his mouth, so it comes across as modulated humming.
"MmmMMM? MmmMMmmmm."
I'm usually not real sure what he's trying to get across --
except when it's really obvious that he's TRYING to be patient
because it IS past dinnertime and I have not YET filled his
catbowl -- but it's still early days and I'm sure I'll learn his
language before too long.

When dear old Cosmo thought we weren't johnny-on-the-spot with
getting up, or feeding him, or whichever of the thousand things
that he felt comprised our duties toward him, he'd head to the
opposite end of the house from wherever we were, and loudly
yowl, "wow-wow-wow-WOW," again and again, until we responded.
And that "wow-wow-wow-WOW" sounded like someone was torturing
him in ways that should get the International Court involved. It
certainly got our attention.
I miss him every day. He was an indoor/outdoor cat, but could
only be outdoors on a long lead (fear that he would bolt), if we
were outside or somewhere where we could watch him closely (fear
that he would fight feline intruders or be coyote bait). He
LOVED to hang out in the back yard, so much so that after he
died I had a plaque made which we hang on our fence from the
beginning of summer through early fall. It will always be
Cosmo's garden.
