       Some of that is not surprising in the history of the sport. The
       age range got lower and lower over time and is now creeping back
       up as more work is done on the training/pt side to extend the
       lifespan of what the bodies of the gymnasts are capable of
       doing. I'm not sure what the average age range was then, but
       they were likely closer to it, than they are in the context of
       today's competitors.
