I gave up today when the decoder ring didn't work. I'm not good
with anagrams if that's what the message used. I never did
       figure it out.

This site might help with the anagram ones.

I used Aardtacha's tip from the other day when she said she knew
one of the words would be a suspect. So, I scrolled through all
three of the categories until I saw one that fit the letters of
a longer word. Then after a bit, I was able to get the other
longer word (but just an ordinary word) from the context of the
       rest of the sentence.
It's not you, IMO. This game has a pretty steep learning curve.

       Thank you both.
I’d like to get better at this. I’ve read mysteries since I was
a kid but usually figure them out based on feelings and one or
two clues not this careful logic.

The game is tough. I always liked these logic puzzles as a kid,
but I'm struggling with some of these. Those has more
straight-forward kinds of clues, none of this weird anagramming
or secret decoder ringing stuff to cope with.
Just as a hint to get you started on today's anagram -- consider
what weapon has not been mentioned. That should help you
       detangle the letters.

Today is another anagram, but this time it wasn't very hard.
Why these Community of the Temple people can't just hand Logico
a note in plain English is beyond me.

I’m posting because I was right but I admit I had it down to two
and maybe guessed right. Or maybe it’s how the game works. We’ll
see how I do a few more times.

I just easily did Connections with no mistakes. Went on to
Strands and did it quickly with no hints. Finally did Tightrope
       and aced it too.
       Why is Murdle so hard?

I agree it is completely different from recognizing language
patterns or knowing history or other standalone facts. Being a
prodigious reader isn't much help with this one.
Even though I've been away from them now for years, I've had
decades of experience with puzzles like these. Even so, this has
been challenging for me. It just takes a lot of practice.
I'd be happy to give whatever tips I can that might help. Don't
       give up!

You're using a different part of your brain. We're used to
looking for patterns -- this isn't that. If you really want to
get more practice, I suggest you look in teacher stores. They
sell little logical thinking skills worksheet booklets for
elementary grades that kind of walk you through the grid. I
don't remember the titles of the ones I used for my students,
but they started with just a couple of variables and maybe 3
actors, and gradually added in additional actors or another
variable. I liked them as bellringers or sponge activities at
the end of the period, particularly if kids were finishing their
       work at different paces.
