       If it's any consolation, I had two friends drop off the planet
       during Covid. Not a word and no responses. No obits either.
       If we were good friends - even past good friends - given a
       pandemic, I'd cross the boundary.
       Just chatted with another that I'd not heard from in years, she
       was all "I was meaning to contact you when the pandemic started
       and see how you are" but didn't. Well, thanks for nothing....if
       she'd had deaths or illnesses in the family or Covid herself I'd
       brush it aside.
