Hopefully but it could be a bit until we get a new batch. There
aren't a lot of kittens this time of year.

Sometimes older ones need fostering too…

It's relatively rare for them to need foster for adult cats, for
whatever reason. My guess is that they can get their spay/neuter
surgery right away and get adopted out while kittens have to be
the right age & weight. We've occasionally had older kittens
(6ish months) but never older, other than mommas.

Huh, I would have figured kittens would get adopted faster than
adult cats. Especially senior cats.

They probably do, but it typically takes much longer for kittens
to be adopted from foster rather than from the shelter, and I'm
guessing that is true for adults as well. So I would guess they
only do that when the cat can't be in the shelter for some
reason.
Most kittens get adopted from the shelter, too - we usually have
them to either get them to weight/age for spay/neuter surgery,
or until they are socialized well enough to be adopted out. In
the former case they always go back to the shelter to get
adopted out; in the latter case, some are adopted from foster
but it takes much longer so they go back when possible.

I love playing the suprise game with kittens! The last bunch was
pretty good at it too.
I miss em too, and we haven't had any new ones sadly.
But they did all get adopted very quickly, including Momma!
